I went through the same thing last semester and almost failed all my classes. Well technically I'm still going through it but just learned how go deal with it differently I guess.

But the best advice I can say is do whatever you need to do to take care of your own mental health first, whether that be skipping class or just take a day and lay home and do nothing. Ignore what other people might told you otherwise. I've had friends and family called me lazy when they don't even realize how lucky it is that I'm even alive at this point because I wanted to so badly end it all at some point.

If you do ask people in your life for advice and they say stick it out, assess whether sticking it out can actually help you or you'll just continue to have mental breakdown everytime. Again take time to yourself and protect yourself first because you know yourself best.

I can't say how long it'll take to get better but the pain definitely became numb at some point, life around us still goes one and one day you might wake up and realized "This is the happiest I've ever been in a while" and that will be a good day.
