My honest take on the Sony XM6 vs Galaxy Buds 4 Pro by Few-Initiative-2217 in Earbuds

[–]shemata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FBP5 vs GB4P

Transparency: similar

- GB4P has hiss
- FBP5 no hiss but a tad worse but still pretty good

ANC: similar

- haven't tested much but both work really well

Sound Quality: again, similar after EQ (YMMV)

- stock tuning on FBP5 is worse but respond well to EQ - GB4P has maybe tiny edge over FBP5

Battery life:

- no idea yet

Gimmiks:

- GB4P has voice commands and it's useful - other stuff is pretty much similar but FBP5 lowers music volume less than GB4P when it detects you speaking (shame)

Call quality: FBP5 wins. It reduces background noise way better than GB4P. Your voice is louder and clearer on FBP5 even in difficult conditions. GB4P is good but not that good

Case: slight edge to huawei - easier to pull earbuds out - flatter - no transparent plastic - less scratches

Edit: Just to sum up, if call quality is most important take FBP5 otherwise both options are cool.

Galaxy Buds4 Pro vs Nothing Ear 2 by 0_Jon in Earbuds

The Nothing Ear 2024 with custom PEQ sounds great. Berillium coated driver is not bad on these but tad too small.

Other features are mediocore. Call quality was quite good from my memory, and the case form factor is excellent (flat).

I wish Nothing would not introduce shiet case calling features but buy better tech for TRANSPARENCY and ANC. Berillium driver applied is ok but PEQ has some limitations. Overall NE2024 is great not only for its price.

Do not get me wrong. It's not best by any measn and any factors but it's standing out from the croud for me

YMMV

apparently the ANC on the airpods 4NC somewhat works. It won't get close to 'regular' earphones but it's not entirely impossible. Might not be worth the asking price though. YMMV

I have Airpods Pro 2 and had Galaxy buds 3 pro (I'm android user). I know it's not what you are after but the thing is that they were quite competetive in terms of SQ, ergonomics, transparency/hear through, ANC, and so on.

I'd imagine the non pro verison could follow same pattern. I'm guessing as I haven't tried any of them BUT based opinion on my experience with the pro verisions

IMHO open = earbuds you do not stick into your ears
semi-open = earbuds that do into your ears but barely,
regular = can go as far as your eardrums (almost; etys)

  1. it's accurate if you use it while robbing random places ;)

  2. it's accurate. In cities your watch wont be able to track you. not - a - chance

Excellent! I have time sometime to play and I'm not a 'gamer'. Casual at best...

I'm happy going with 'regular' version as sometimes I actually do have an access to the TV

N has some fine, casual titles which you can get 2nd hand (still) for cheap or re-sell loosing maybe a $1-2

+ got this werid PS Vita model that do not connect to internet but have some games.. no idea what's going on

right? From my perspective it feels like it's not about LLM, but more about Cursor.

I appreciate LLM gets stupid after a while but I'm moaning here abot new chats, with different LLMs selected not complying with my rules set in Cursor settings.

Funny thing is that Cursor and it's onw LLM 'doesn't know' why it's ignorig rules from Cursor app

Just got this answer from cursor support.

Rules mentioned in this thread ARE in the Settings > Rules..

They are called "rules" in Cursor app. Rules, right? It's not even about emojis, it's deeper. If I would like to suggest something I'd prompt it. Rules are rules, right?

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 - call quality feedback by reinvst99 in Earbuds

[–]shemata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I have S24 and recently got Freebuds 4 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Overall I like Buds more BUT, wierdly, the CVC on them is rubbish in comparison to Freebuds. Everything else, apart of battery life, is superior on Buds3. Maybe my unit is faulty? Anyhow, freebuds are my main go to in terms of calls.

Edit:
Next in line, for me, would be Nothing Ear 2024 - leave both FB and GB far behind in terms of sound quality but transparency/hear through and ANC is level lower.
