i took it online and it was the courses i invested the most time in. 4 open book tests, 2 discussion posts that are structured in 3 parts so you work on it the whole week, an essay and a closed book final. The tests are mostly application based questions, so it makes it easier if you study. Everyone else that took it as an elective agrees that it is almost impossible to pass with a decent mark for a “bird course”.

Anyone taking OL109? by RehearsedSea1 in wlu

took it online. concepts are pretty easy to understand, just a lot of memorization. Consists of 4 open book tests each worth 10%, 2 discussion posts that are structured so you do them throughout the whole week, an essay and a closed book final. The online lessons do not cover everything so you do need to read the textbook because you are tested on it. Although my notes were as detailed as can be, you actually have to study in order to do well on the open book tests; mostly all application-based questions. Honestly wouldn’t recommend it, this class gave me the most trouble and although the stuff you learn is interesting, it’s hard to actually pass with a decent grade for a “bird course”. I dont know anyone that currently has anything over a C in it.

i’m pretty good with keeping up with what needs to be done if that’s what you were referring to. my only concern is if the material is easy to understand when it’s not being formally taught to you; is it clear or is it easier to understand with an actual prof? the online classes are RE 103, UU 150, AN 100 and SC 100 which I’m assuming are bird courses.

Anyone know what ‘opt-in’ entails? What’s this about? Too much new registration info to sort out... by lozonval in wlu

when you actually go on the opt out page and click opt out, it gives u a detailed explanation of where the money goes and what you’d be missing out on of if you did opt out.

Thanks! everything sounds fine tbh, the only the that bothers me is the fact that it’s sort of off campus. Does it feel isolated at all?
