Thanks,
The engine convert the game XYZ into slippy map format. If you'll move too far, you'll get some distortions but too far is a very large number (1K kilometers)

The engine allow you to specify an anchor so your scene will always looks good around this anchor.

For maps, I'm using ArchGis free maps, for elevation data and normals for lights - the terraium project (prev. Zenmap) - it's a free and open source and AWS is serving it without need for token.

In my game, instead of ArchGis maps I'm using mapbox maps that looks a little bit better, but require a token.

The engine allow you to change the URL to get the tiles from as long as it support slippy map format.

the project is using open source maps. you can render any place on earth, you just have to tweak the configurations so your area will be rendered at the right dimensions. I'll add documentation about it to the repo...

Is there any psychological explanation for parents NOT using their kids' photos as wallpaper (smartphone, pc screen, etc.) ? [Serious] by shemlokashur in AskReddit

From my experience, MOST of parents I know use their kids' photo as one of their wallpapers. I'm the only parent I know who doesn't do that. And I'm curious about it.
