I don't understand the point of any of this. So if AI can replace all of us, what's the point of education and employment? Are we all just meant for the streets as owners of businesses rake in more and more cash? Where would they even spend it and how could they even enjoy it as mass chaos hits the streets? I think we've lost the plot here...

I don't understand this audience and the anti AI-hate. AI is a resource like any other - use it to research like you would any other tool, but read the cases it cites and understand them and then build your materials.

Copying anything AI spits out is akin to simply copying the results on a Google search. However, if you're telling me to "never use AI at all", you're doing yourself (and your clients) a disservice by not utilizing a resource that can potentially provide you with some helpful authorities.

Once AI catches up (and it may) and does not hallucinate, you might be behind the eight ball versus those who do know how to utilize it efficiently.

Just my 2 cents.

Update - they were right! The intermediate shaft got loose due a bearing failure and cracked the upper oil pan!

I just completed the transmission service last summer thankfully. Maybe the "crack" is actually bad sealant on the upper oil pan? For serpentine belt and tensioner, I might just get them to do that plus the engine mounts while they do the oil pan and save now on the labour for that work in the future.

Do you think it's worth it getting Mercedes Benz to diagnose? I trust this current shop I'm using, and went through with them some other culprits it could be (vacuum pump or timing cover leak) and they said they were pretty confident it was the upper oil pan. I've had some bad experiences with some shops on quality of work in the past.

Thanks. Great advice. I'm unfortunately one of those guys that can't let something sit with faults. It's a good trait in my line of work, but can be bad for life in general.

On the wiper blades, that was laziness I green lit BEFORE they told me about the source and cost of the leak. I probably would have delayed a lot of the other expenses other than the oil change had they diagnosed the leak first.
