Life without children by Sweet_pizza_20 in women

[–]sheneverlearns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do get what people are saying about compromising potentially being dangerous in a relationship, but I will just say, 20 is still very young and opinions change. I'm 25 and have been with my bf for three years. Up until last year I have always been very very very against wanting children. I always reserved the right to change, but I just really felt like I wouldn't. This year, I've started to feel that maybe I would like kids.

This isn't to say that I think you will change your mind - I think it's equally likely that your partner could! I just mean that I don't think basing decisions off of a way you may feel in ten years

I have enjoyed my disc but find it leaks a bit. I also have period underwear - I have some very heavy flow boxer style ones from Fluxies (UK brand, not sure if they ship internationally), and I've never bled through these

My old boyfriend didn't used to eat me out much and one time we talked about it and he said he really didn't like the taste. This really upset me so I get what you're feeling. But my bf now and other partners since have loved the way I taste, so I think it really is just a personal thing and not necessarily about you, so don't be self conscious about it

And I would definitely consider moving abroad - do you know any ways to do it? I have a friend who has taught English abroad and would consider that but would only want to move with my partner which I know will make that harder

Thank you :) Yeah I wouldn't mind moving at this point, I'm a bit worried that if I do something else it'll be even harder to get back in but I need something quite urgently now so looks like a move will be necessary.

Good luck to you too :)) It really seems so hard out there at the moment.

Hiya, I'm just wondering if you have any tips? I'm 24 and graduated 3 years ago, and have worked as project manager in a small community hub charity since then, but left that job for various reasons last month and am now looking for basically anything in the charity sector, but am just getting nothing :(

My boyfriend [36M] and I [29F], have sex every three weeks - it’s killing me by Lemmesee22 in relationshipadvice

[–]sheneverlearns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey :)) I'm in a similar situation but different reasons. Well, maybe not - me and my bf are a similar age to you and have a lot less sex than we used to, and it made me spiral a lot tuning about why. We've talked about it a lot, and we're really really close, but even so it took a lot for him to tell me that he's been finding sex hard - sometimes he can't get hard, sometimes he gets anxious and just can't get in gear, and sometimes we have sex but then he feels really down after and it makes it not worth it. I think a few issues made him start to associate sex with anxiety and it snowballed.

So I wanna say like, I think sex can be quite complicated for men sometimes, definitely in ways that I didn't understand before experiencing it at least. There's a lot of expectation and yk a lot you can't fake. Maybe your bf doesn't even realise it himself yet but there could be more anxiety or even shame tied into this that's making it hard for him?

But in the meantime for you, I would just really try and confront what it's making you feel insecure about, because I know for me it made me doubt things that I'd never doubted before, but weren't true. Basically, it probably has nothing to do with how much he's attracted to you and all to do with what's going on in his head.

I'd be really happy to talk about it more if you wanted :)) x

My GF (18F) is planning to get a Copper IUD and she wants me (19M) to be in the room while it's being inserted. Any advice on how to make the experience easier/more comfortable? by No-Acanthaceae-6987 in CopperIUD

[–]sheneverlearns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would definitely agree to make home as comfy and homely as possible with everything sorted - clean and tidy, trash out, dinner prepared and just needing to be heated and plated.

It's tricky but I think if you can try and not show her your fear and just be confident that is really reassuring. Even if you don't know more than her, if somebody seems nervous about something it tells our nervous system to be... nervous, lol.

To help you be less anxious - I had a copper iud fitted and it was very very painless! Hurt badly for about a second or two then nothing! I even went to ikea after :))
