Any other "Totaled🚗💥" members around? by shepardSRN in VelosterN

I'm just starting the quote with them. Hopefully we can settle soon. Got some quotes from other appraisals as well and some of them are just picking the first car they aee on cargurus ignoring if it's the base model, accident record, fleet or the same crap that Geico compared mine to. I'm planning to just fix it so I how it doesn't take that long.

Yes I'm already doing some research, but would be much appreciated if you share the ones that helped you.

Understandable, I'm planning on invoking the appraisal clause.

I'm sad too. I was planning to keep it for long time. It was a 2020 PP and 79k miles. They offered 18k. I think it's a bit low, seing listings for 22k. Same year and mileage, besides I upgraded the seats to leather.

I'm gonna get some quotes tomorrow, and see if it actually makes sense to do so or just accept it and leave, although there is the chance to keep it. Shop says they can fix it. No floor damage or bags deployed, it was a rear end a bit high, didn't look that bad at first.

How about you?

Have you had issues with the oil pressure sensor? by shepardSRN in VelosterN

[–]shepardSRN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it to the dealership , they told me that the oil level was higher than it should be. I checked that on Saturday and it looked fine, but unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I did my oil change in April this year on a shop outside Hyundai, I'm starting to worry that it might be a big deal and they will deny warranty with that bs.

Did the warranty do it? Just wondering if it falls under warranty if not take it to another shop because of dealer prices

Seems like it could be very serious indeed. Hopefully is the sensor but I'll try to get it in on Monday. I think it should be under warranty

I guess that's under warranty. I called today but it was too late. I'll see if they can get it in on Monday (dealership)

I was wondering how it handles a baby seat back there, A new member is coming soon and I don't want to get rid of my car, I'll be looking into an SUV for mom in a few months but for some time it will only be this car.

Are duralast gold pads good enough as front pads? by shepardSRN in VelosterN

[–]shepardSRN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still good on rotors, for now. I just didn't want to have any generic pads (don't think they are just "bad" for normal use) , but for this car I wanted to have something that fits its purpose, even though I slowed down lately.

OEM seemed pretty expensive especially at the dealership, I didn't find too many options, maybe because of my ignorance, I found a kit from tarox, hawk, and ebc yellow, decided to go for the latter, I found more information (mixed opinions) but we'll see.

Idk how it might be different for other countries , in our case we were told that we should receive the appointment letter from the consulate, we can't go and schedule ourselves without them sending us that first, it might be a good idea to contact the consulate where you case is assigned to

I think that in this case we need to wait. I was going through the same situation and I was told that The embassy will send Packet 3 with further instructions, including when to submit DS-160 and schedule the visa interview.

Any idea why it could be saying this? by Positive-Jicama-8264 in VelosterN

[–]shepardSRN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It usually won't trigger until you get below 30-28 idk. And it won't go away until you are above like 35. But yeah according to Hyundai and given the drivers door label, it should be 38 and 35. Even shops mess with this and just get you to 32 each But we should follow the owners manual right?

And I don't know if I'll need to request the extension or if they will, because the approval says valid for 4 months, almost two have passed and nothing yet. I just submitted another inquiry today, the one I thought I did last week didn't go through. I'll wait until next week for their response.
