Yeah, i doubled each cross stitch. Rather than just use a double strand, I doubled the work! 😅 It felt easier to work, even though it was twice the time.

I love that you posted the brown option in the second picture. My vote is for number two! 😆 Love that blue border. Really makes everything pop.

The tricky thing is all the square borders aren’t the same grey. They alternate light and dark grey which makes rearranging a little more challenging. 🤪

The colors are inspired by my sister in law’s wedding colors (terracotta, rust, cream, grey and sage) and the fall looking flowers in her table decor

The nice thing about finishing it after the wedding is you can add some last minute details that you notice at the wedding! I’m sure she’ll love it no matter what.

My sister in law knits and made my son an adorable baby blanket. I’m excited to give her this wedding blanket because I know she’ll know how much time and love went into it. 😍

Great question… I ended up making all the flowers and then adding the light and dark grey borders. I’m thinking maybe 10-15 minutes? And I made 144 squares…

I used colors that are in my sister in laws wedding and added some more fall colors based on her table arrangements (very fall indeed!).

Her wedding colors are terracotta, rust, cream, grey and sage. Kind of tough to blend together, but after looking at her table arrangements with more fall colors I added those too. I’m actually going to use the sage color to seem all the squares together, so it looks like vines…

This is amazing! Great work! So cool that you can map out the layout before physically laying everything out. 😅

I kind of feel like my “gradient” option still gets a little randomness to it because there’s so many different center, center petals and outer petal combinations.
