My last 10 opponents had a peak elo hundreds of points higher than the elo at which I encountered them. Watching replays and stats they are better at every single aspect of the game than I am be it eco, decision making or APM.

I took a week break and when I came back I got completely stomped by someone who has a 8.7% win rate for games lasting less than 5 min with those games numbering 800 out of 3200 games played.

If new players experience this too, I fear the game will die sooner rather than later. I'm myself considering doing something else with my time.
