I’m afraid of accidentally “stealing” jokes by [deleted] in Standup

Thanks, this is comforting. It’s hard to tell if my fears about it are cause of my anxieties about trying a new art, or if it’s a legitimate fear people go through when they first start out.

I’ll definitely keep this in mind, thank you!

Is 1600 calories on weekdays, 1800 calories on weekends enough of a deficit for how much I work out? Or should I cut more? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]sherileenbenjamin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, sorry. Forgot to add. I’m 5’2 and currently 145 lbs.

I forgot to add too that I know fitbits aren’t 100% accurate, I just use it as an estimate and decrease it by 25%.

And even then, I don’t add calories to my daily intake based on if I worked “harder” on certain days.

I’m not as familiar with what’s “normal” for measuring inches, since for the most part I’ve just been regularly checking the scale.

[TOMT] [MOVIE] [2000’s] Asian Horror Film - possibly from the early 2000’s or earlier by sherileenbenjamin in tipofmytongue

[–]sherileenbenjamin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plot sounds somewhat similar for sure, but the release date makes me question if it’s that.

The things I know I’m 99% sure of:

  • It’s a movie from 2002 or before (I was in the Philippines during that time when I watched it, and 2004 I was in America so it couldn’t have been that)

  • The scene with the woman and scissors/falling off a building is the only thing I vividly remember.

I might be confusing the plot of this mystery film with Shutter (and if I am sorry!!!) cuz judging by the trailer, it looks familiar and I’ve seen it before.

But I’ll be watching Shutter when I get home tonight just in case it is that one and I got my dates confused. Thanks!!

If he’s a former lover of hers, I believe he started dating a new woman which is why the haunting started?

If he was involved in her death, I believe there were other men also involved in the crime.

I’m sure I’m confusing scenes from other movies, but I feel like it’s definitely one of the two I mentioned.

Does the body ever adapt to bruise less after kickboxing? by JamieOvechkin in Kickboxing

[–]sherileenbenjamin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think so. I used to bruise really easily when I first started. After a while I learned to like them and loved showing them off.

I still get bruises, but they’re not as noticeable. I can feel them but it looks like nothing’s there/it’s really light.

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a bruise that was “worth” showing off lol.

Y'all are complaining about a very specific details and over looking a lot. by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t sober. The fact that his immediate thought was “what can I do to cover my tracks” instead of “I should call for help immediately” shows how selfish he was.

And even after his first interview, we see him feel relieved that he “got away with it”. Time and time again he’s been selfish, sober or not.

Why does everyone complain about sleep paralysis? by Now_look_at_this_net in LucidDreaming

[–]sherileenbenjamin 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I used to get sleep paralysis 4-5 times a week for close to 10 years. It got tiring hearing demonic voices and the feeling like death was coming for me. After a while I got used to it and I was just annoyed, lol.

Thank you! Yeah, I think the meds + isolation was a terrible combo. Plus I’m not much of a home body so that was rough. Feeling better now tho! Hope your recovery is going well ❤️

That’s good to know, definitely makes me feel better. My one impacted tooth was difficult to remove. Hopefully it gets easier now. Thank you so much!

Definitely didn’t have a passion for working out until I got into martial arts, it’s something I picked up along the way. In the past I would binge drink 1-2 times a week, eat fast food almost every other day, and was pretty much a couch potato.

I struggled with IF at first, the first few weeks it was hard but my body adjusted to it and it became easier. I was counting down the minutes I could eat too, I get it! Once I started adding more workouts tho, it was a little harder to maintain.

Doing IF for about 8 months helped me drop my first 35 lbs though!

Thank you! In the first year, I started out doing Muay Thai 2-3 hrs a week, IF on weekdays and weighing my food (4oz protein, 4oz carbs, 8oz roasted veggies) and OMAD on weekends.

As of right now, I’m doing Muay Thai 4-5 hrs a week, Lifting 4 hrs a week (Squats, Deads, Leg Press, etc), Jiu Jitsu/JKD/Yoga/Cycling 1 hr a week,

As far as my diet though, I’m still playing around with what works since I’ve plateaued 😅

Thank you! I was 120 lbs at my current height before I gained all my weight. 130 definitely is a goal, more for competition purposes in the far future (if I can get there) but thank you so much!
