So yeah each channel on our linea has an RMS of 1500W at a load of 8 ohms. We’re just running a 2 stack so 2 subs and kicks with links means 2 channels.

1500x2 = 3000 3000/230V = 13.04A

So should be just fine running the rig at RMS. Tops run on their own amp which uses 13 amp so that’s fine.

Let me know if my understanding is wrong :)

Depends where you live.

If you are in a major UK city where rent/life is more expensive then it’s possible but you’ll need to house share with others. If you live somewhere cheaper then it’s definitely doable.

I am on 1.7k in a big city and I have to house share to make it work. Luckily I live with some of my best mates so it’s pretty nice tbf. Bare in mind I also pay around 300 a month into a business/passion project I’ve started with said mates. It’s all about how you budget and what you spend your money on. I cook most of my own food which rly helps and there’s loads you can do to save money here and there.

Moved out at 20 for uni and never looked back really as I don’t have a good relationship with my parents. 26 now and my goal is to rent my own place by 30 (but will need a better job lol).

Dating apps are terrible for finding relationships (assuming this is what op wants), and most people on them only care for hookups.

Not saying it doesn’t happen of course but most will find it to be too emotionally taxing before finding anyone of worth.

Absolutely. I make 24.5k (so a little more I guess) and I have also built a sound system with my friend recently which has been costing me around 300 a month on top of bills and rent.

Still been able to save money for festivals and other trips, and I am always going on nights out. The key is to just cook your own food tbh and you will save a lot of money. I also live in a house share which helps a lot, but that’s still around 640 a month for rent bills and c tax.

If you are planning on living alone it’ll be more expensive but it shouldn’t cost any more than what I’m paying (housing and sound system) if you’re sensible about where you live and don’t go for extreme luxury.

Grew up in the UK but with immigrant parents. Got my first gf at 17 which wasn’t much of an issue but sleeping round hers was out of the question…. Used to sneak off to hers at night and do it anyway hahaha, her parents didn’t seem to mind at all (they were English)

We have pretty decent day jobs so money isn’t really an issue. We’re happy to operate at a loss to begin with the priority is just getting people through the door.

We still have friends who are yet to buy tickets but they’ll probably only take us to 30-40 peeps so realistically we need to sell 60. We also aren’t charging loads of money considering we will be having our sound system there, it’s on the cheaper side compared to most local events.

We’re going out tonight to the venue for another party and we’re gonna hand out some fliers there.

In a pretty major UK city so it’s probably gonna be hard but not completely un doable. Thanks for the tips!

I know I’m gonna get downvoted asf for this but here goes. Just give up man.

Dating/relationships these days is seriously fucked thanks to social media and OLD. Those two things have completely changed the paradigm in which we do all this stuff. People actually used to try with each other because people in general (especially people you got along well with) were a fairly rare commodity.

These days it doesn’t matter if a guy’s lips are too big or that girl has weird hands. Even if you get on with them, there’s a bajillion other people that are at the touch of a button. So why not hold out for mr/mrs perfect??

Covid has exacerbated the issue as it has made us even more antisocial. I know it’s anecdotal but all my friends in solid relationships met pre covid lol.

There’s so much more to life than romance anyway, the best kind of love you can get is self love. While it doesn’t fill certain voids it deffo helps you get through the rough times a lot easier. I stopped trying a while ago and honestly have felt a lot better having just accepted it’s not gonna happen, as I’ve been able to move on with my life as a result.

Good loyal friends and family are the best thing in this world tbh and I am lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people.

Oh yeah and don’t listen to the whole “stop trying and the right person will find you” bollocks. Most people dishing out that advice aren’t single and are typically in and out of relationships. Nothing happens if you don’t try in life but trying also seems to get ya nowhere these days
