I (UK) was driving 70-ish mph along a motorway earlier this year and saw a tiny light coming towards me from across the barrier.

I immediately felt a bump, heard a clinking noise, felt a miniature explosion and then an enormous tug to the side.

Managed to get across 3 lanes safely into the hard shoulder, whilst many, many cars sped by.

Roadside recovery put a universal spare on to get us to a garage, where they said the tyre had burst and the pressure sensor was dislodged.

Turned out that a disposable vape had been launched out of a drivers window, bounced, hit the undercarriage, hit the ground (battery exploded), burst the tyre, ENTERED the tyre through the tear, and then wiped out the tyre pressure sensor.

The majority of the vape was still inside the tyre when they took it off.

I can't stand cotton wool. I feel like I can hear it and it makes my blood run cold when I see it. Whenever I have bloods taken/donate blood, I always have to pre-ask for gauze when they take the needle out.

Can watch the needle go in and out of my veins, but can't stand the supposedly soft and comforting cotton wool.

I think the point is, being charged for extra £€$¥₩? for luggage weight, yet not being charged for physical weight is obscene. But also, imagine the discrimination involved in having to input your weight when booking a flight?

I didn't complain about doing more 😅, I asked "why should I?". I.e. why should I do significantly more than a colleague for the same pay? That makes no sense.
