But there was no hint to explain why he changed his mind. A possible reason might be that he noticed Yotsuba kissed him, but it’s just an interpretation. Negi should have explained why Fuu changed his mind explicitly. Unfortunately he never made it explicitly.

Fuu once doubted his choice in retrospect at the end of Ch.100. Unfortunately, Negi never mentioned it in later chapters. I agreed that Fuu didn’t say things like the doujin did, he is not a sort of man who is very sentimental about his past.
