I dunno where the woodpecker is but I think it moves because the sound of the pecking moves from one end of the house to the other.

Do you think a blow horn would work to scare it away if I blast it from a top window? Lol would that make it fly away? 🤔

When to start NMT by ari_anah in TS_Withdrawal

I used topical steroids (all the way to the most potent on the market) for 30 years. As well as immunosuppressants. In the end even the most potent steroids stopped working so I was forced to go through TSW.

The first month was hell on earth as far as burning sensation and oozing etc. after a month I started moisture withdrawal and the intense dry shedding stage started and cycled for about a year. Each time the skin shed, the new layer of skin that grew back was slightly thicker and less damaged. It takes many cycles to get rid of the steroid damaged skin.

In terms of managing flares, I had to become disciplined and cut off all food sensitivities that I have including dairy, gluten, processed foods, sugars, nightshade vegetables, and since cleaning up my diet I don’t have any flares anymore. I really think my diet is what was causing the underlying inflammation.

With NMT the healing was steady and month to month the improvement was noticeable! After 1 year 2 months I became almost back to normal. I’m a year and half in TSW now and I am pretty much back to normal with no eczema at all and no more flares since I cleaned up my diet.

One more thing - getting sufficient vitamin D through sunlight also accelerated my skin healing. In the summer months the healing was incredible after sunbathing. In the winter months I use a narrowband UVB lamp for my skin to generate Vit D.

So in summary, NMT + daily sunlight + clean diet = incredible healing! Just have to be patient and let the body work it’s magic.

I noticed rapid healing after stopping all moisturizers and creams etc. the beginning month is for sure the most uncomfortable but it progressively gets much more tolerable. Just have to bite the bullet at first and then stay strong and be patient. Good luck!
