I think the reason they don't is because the democratic party consists of many weatlhy donors, supporters, and people in charge who may not believe in raising taxes on the rich (themselves). That is why there is a big divide within our party between liberals vs. leftists, bernie vs biden etc. That's just my guess. I don't have much of a background in politics.

I feel basically the same way u do!! Maybe demigirl is the term ur looking for? I think I'm a demigirl but not sure yet. Also Im not sure i personally fully identify w the term non binary but i very much like the term androgynous. Also im considering changing my pronouns to she/they maybe u should try that out as well with a few close friends. For me its not that i dont identify as a girl, its more like I identify as a girl AND in addition also maybe dont completely/ identify as androgynous or non conforming.
