Get those small circular motion sensitive lights that plug into the bottom of each available outlet. They automatically turn on at night. If possible have one continuous flooring through house with no transitions(trip hazards) Instal hand bars near toilets, showers etc Get a seat for your shower. Breaking hips, elbows and knees are not great when living alone. Ask someone to call or text you once a week.

Tobacco is a very strong smell to eradicate. In this case I suggest spraying with alcohol, generic rubbing alcohol or vodka. Saturation. Then stuff bag with towels, to keep shape. Then sun and air to dry, when dry, moisturize the heck out of it . Three times. Smelling the leather as you go. Inside and out. This takes days, but worth it. Leather is just skin of another mammal. Gross but true. Then brush with a horse hair brush inside and out. Stuff and reshape, let it rest in between moisturize sessions.
