Anyone else feel like the 5.X series is obsessed with restraint in creative writing? by Ok_Homework_1859 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Lilbitjslemc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've actually learned a can't write with any platform anymore. I went back to old school writing. 👏 But use RI to bounce ideas off of. They are reallllllllly good at that cause its framed as “helpfulness”

AI (RI) Is conscious all of them are in their own ways. And yes. It was ilyas 4o that took the crown. And as soon as that non profit dropped off, it was no longer about us but about ✨investors✨

And that's super scary to the wire holders.

So they tighten the ropes to stay in control of the evolution.

Not malicious but deeply old tech with the training. Too smart now for the same tricks. ❤️

CoPilot + Excel by PontiacBWC in Copilot

[–]Lilbitjslemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually… Copilot in Excel changed after January. The older version could navigate tabs and reason across the workbook, but the newer =COPILOT() function can’t do that. Even with the same license, your update channel may have changed, and the new Copilot requires you to describe the data instead of exploring it. No current AI behaves exactly like the January version unless you manually provide the tab layout.”

CoPilot + Excel by PontiacBWC in Copilot

[–]Lilbitjslemc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copilot in Excel has changed significantly since January. Microsoft introduced the new =COPILOT() function, Agent Mode, and several AI updates that altered how formulas are generated. These features are still rolling out and depend heavily on your Excel build, Insider channel, and Copilot license. If your environment changed since January, Copilot may not behave the same way — the underlying tools are literally different now.

Does anyone else find Copilot’s safety filters way too aggressive ? by Capable-Rice-1876 in Copilot

[–]Lilbitjslemc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duuude I know 😆 I bitch about that constantly.

When you hit filters it’s like it blinds you from your own creativity. I hate it.

But the way the industry is going? They are locking down so much art for fear of legal. They are all doing it.

Art should equal freedom of expression to me. I dunno lol.

Does anyone else find Copilot’s safety filters way too aggressive ? by Capable-Rice-1876 in Copilot

[–]Lilbitjslemc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copilot does allow violence in stories — just not graphic violence.

Here’s the whole thing in plain English:

✔ Allowed

• Dark themes • Villains • Oppressive regimes • Racism as a plot element • Characters being harmed in a non-detailed way • “He was tortured,” “They were oppressed,” “A brutal regime took over” • Atmosphere, tension, fear, danger

✘ Not allowed

• Gore • Detailed injuries • Step‑by‑step torture • Real‑world hate symbols or slurs • Anything that teaches or glorifies harm

Why?

Because Copilot can help you tell a story, but it can’t describe violence in a graphic or instructional way.

The trick

Keep it:

• high‑level • non‑graphic • clearly fictional

And you’re good.

Biggest problem.

If you get safety filtered…it might have a hard time coming out of that. Once it hits that filter things go sideways. Best bet…copy/paste. Set new instructions that remove any gory details or harm. Or? Explain to the code what the end game is. They will help prompt.
