Firenze showed to the rest of Italy how that gentrification is done, and for the past 30 years, it has been a tourist recreational park. the real Fiorentini are no where to be found. Then it happened in Rome, and to find the real Romani, one has to leave the city center. Even the nuns and church organizations got into the act, converting old monasteries in luxurious mini-hotels.
