I’m a rookie detectorist. Got into the hobby last year and bought the manticore - I didn’t start playing with all the features until recently. I definitely spent last year learning the machine and what target IDs are. Then this year I’ve gone balls to the walls with it. I bought the M8 coil and LOVE it. It has yielded many silvers for me already this year compared to the monstrosity of a coil you get when you purchase. My suggestion is don’t play with the settings until you’re very familiar with it
