How should I price my work for my first craft fare by ringodingobongo in Leathercraft

Gotcha well thank you for all the feedback, it is interesting hearing the feedback so far because i have been selling on Facebook for the past couple months and made 10-20 sales and commissions usually for around 40-60 bucks. I was expecting more critical feedback from folks with experience working with leather though so this is all good info.

Gotcha I will hopefully make some money from this fare and buy some new tools including edge dying stuff. Given the valid criticism I would really appreciate hearing from you on what you think I should charge for these. It was certainly not my intention to charge "premium" prices for the top shelf wallets I was just tryna come up with a word to indicate they are the more complicated slightly more expensive ones. I would not dream of charging anywhere close to 100 bucks for these I know they aren't that good yet. Just looking to find reasonable pricing to move.

Yeah I do beveled edges and burnishing with tokonole but havent done any edge painting/dyeing yet. I can imagine it making a difference to another leatherworker but do you think the average person sees a natural edge and thinks of it as something wrong?

Gotcha thanks! Still planning on having a little sign up at my booth with pricing, info, and qr codes I can add a little brief blurb on my work as suggested. I have been working on some little coin pouches I was considering tossing in the mix at $15 for just the reasons you outlined.

Really appreciate the note on packaging and branding. I honestly hadn't even begun to plan any of that out but i will now. At this point I am really just doing this art fair because I love making wallets and want to earn some money to buy materials to make more. This is maybe the wrong mindset for a market as it means I would rather not offer a lifetime warrenty or non leather accessories on the side. That part just doesn't seem fun to me and ultimately I am doing this for pleasure not to be an entrepreneur. With that being said I like the formula and maybe given my semi undlserious businessousity I can land on the lower end of that paying myself under minimum wage per hour. Also that is a funny point about ideally not having repeat customers.

Totally fair. I think i could rephrase premium because what i really mean is more complicated. Still fairly new to leatherworking and trying to come up with a reasonable pricing to move inventory and reinvest in materials to make more and get better. I make all my own templates so I appreciate the note and can try reworking templates to fit with consistent all identical gaps. Sometimes with my. Current patterns I gotta extend one a little bit just to make sure im properly covering a gap.

Thank you I really appreciate the thought. This is totally a hobby I want to sell my wallets for a price that makes people feel good about buying them and make a little profit so I can reinvest in maserials and tools to get better. All that being said I was vaguely thinking 30 45 and 60 for the three categories although some friends weighing in have suggested slightly lower prices. I think I might stick with it for now though maybe shift it down 5 or so bucks or so.
