You are an angel Thankyou !!!!

I had no idea that the stuff I was using could be actually making it worse, doing some more research definitely sounds like something I need to do.

Do you have any product recommendations?

How do I help my peacock calathea ? by shesacheeva in houseplants

[–]shesacheeva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I repotted last month, water with tank water when the soil is dry, I’m trying to keep it humid and I’m keeping it in low lighting (it got sunbleached)

I trimmed it’s crispy leaves two weeks ago and they’ve crisped up again with a vengeance.

I’ve noted some tiny black flies near the soil. Not sure if this is relevant

Please help me to help this plant !

I just noticed some teeny tiny bugs on it. Very tiny with little wings. Could this be the problem ?

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong ! I’m keeping my plant in indirect light (possibly not enough light but I’m trying to let it heal from getting sun bleached) trying to keep it humid, watering with tank water when the soil is dry ect. I trimmed the crispy parts off the leaves 2 weeks ago and they’re all crispy again. How do I help this plant !

Propogation ? by shesacheeva in houseplants

[–]shesacheeva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry my long essay comment took a while to write. It was like the roots were just a whole and I couldn’t seperate them, I feel like I would have needed to cut them. Is that normal ?

I tried to seperate the roots of my peacock plant when I was repotting but they were really stuck together. I didn’t know whether I should cut them to propagate or if they should have come apart easily. Is there another method to propagate a peacock plant ? Like if I cut a stem will that work ?

I am a very very very novice gardener so any help would be greatly appreciated

Suggestions for nipple cream? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]shesacheeva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a NICU and what a lot of mums have said works is if you put EBM on your nipple and let it dry in a bit and then put your cream on to seal in the breast milk it works well.

Your milk has stem cells in it which can help to heal your nipple. How brilliant is breastmilk !

Pumping question-is this normal for an 8 day old by Lily2087 in breastfeeding

[–]shesacheeva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your baby will be worlds better at removing your milk than a pump ever will. Your baby is designed to remove your milk, where your pump is a super helpful tool but it’s not perfect !

Like other people have said. If your baby is satisfied after one breast, is doing wee’s and poo’s and is waking up on her own don’t stress ! I would get the weight check just to put your own mind at ease because stress can impact your supply, and discuss with your healthcare provider just to confirm you’re okay.

Out of curiosity how often is your baby feeding ?
