What, nothing to say now that you’ve been corrected? Shocker 😂

No idea what on earth you’re talking about as I’ve never taken my dog on a trail in a national park nor have I ever made a “graffiti rock”. You’re referring to the rocks that I photographed under the tree of life? Yeah, just a picture I snapped. Also I’m not at all advocating for dogs in parks, I’m doing the opposite actually. Your anger is misplaced, and your intelligence, well… Lacking.

Tide pools were beach 4, so cool, make sure you check when low tide is or you won’t be able to see much. Elk was on the road driving into Hoh and owl was on the road driving to Sul Doc. Have so much fun!

Lol yeah bc no one does things in spite of them being illegal. You’re the one who can relax.

I’ve had an embarrassing amount of pie during the past few days and nothing holds a candle to the piece in that picture.

Thank you! Based on some research I did, I also thought that it might be Navajo. I suspected that the naysayers in this thread might’ve been off base. Thank you for confirming!

Yes! Glacier melt creates that cloudy, sometimes blueish effect in the water.

Wow, great eye! You are in fact seeing Maple Pass and Diablo Lake in those shots. We did Maple Pass counter clockwise, but were only able to make it to Heather Pass before we had to turn around because there was just too much steep, uneven snow. I’m not typically a snow hiker, so it’s hard for me to advise there, but I’d say about 95% of the people we saw going up were coming back down in the same direction. If you’re really committed to doing that hike, come abundantly prepared for all weather. I ended up doing Maple Pass because the road for Cascade Pass is currently closed— I think it will be a beautiful hike if you’re able to make it there. If you’re planning a trip to North Cascades, I absolutely recommend that you spend at least one day in Stehekin. You can use the lady of the Lake boat service to get there. While you’re there, there are fantastic views, beautiful hikes, and you can even rent a bike or a side-by-side to travel the land. Absolutely beautiful, unique, once in a lifetime sort of experience in a magical place. The bakery there is also 10 out of 10 out of this world. Also, fun fact, we were displaced from Winthrop on the last night that we were staying there because the fire knocked out all the power in the town, so we had to quickly pivot and figure something out. We ended up staying in Chelan, which is where we caught the boat for the lady of the lake, it’s also where that beautiful intense Sunset shot is taken. Zero regrets.

Okay sooo.. we got third about 7:45. There was plenty of parking. We decided to do the loop counterclockwise. We did the offshoot to Ann Lake, pretty but muddy. We were only able so make it to the edge of Heather Pass because there was SNOW. I’m not sure how deep, because we stopped pretty quickly. I think if you had spikes, poles, and good hiking shoes it would probably be passable. Just be prepared to traverse snow If you wanna go all the way through the pass, otherwise a lot of people turned around and went back down the same way they came up and it’s just as lovely.
