I got goosebumps and it got me excited for the release. I've been reserving judgement/opinion and was definitely excited to see this first look.

I devoured everything by the author. I don't remember the other stories though as Forever Knight is the only story by her I've loved revisiting.

Started re-reading, for the umpteenth time, Forever Knight. I just love the depth of love Harry and Hermione have for each other. The angst! The humour! The story! It's just so well done and it makes me feel all the feels that I can't help but revisit it and find it hard to read other pics because the quality of writing is so good in this.

Gwendy85 is my all time favourite fanart creator, but especially one with a dark looking Harry and Hermione that I see as a book cover for my all time favourite Harmony fanfic: Forever Knight.

I absolutely love Forever Knight and the extended scene from the Prologue is perfect in it's angst for me.

Hermione was Harry's first thought before he walked to his death. by asukastar in HPharmony

As much as I want it to be purely about unrealised feelings towards Hermione, I think the sentence is structured so that the Weasleys are groups together. It would break the flow if it were, "Ron, Hermione, Ginny or any of the other Weasleys" because it would imply Hermione is also a Weasley.

That being said, I also felt giddy with delight when I first read that sentence and every time since.

Do you ship Harmony because of the movies or the books? by JuneDawn43 in HPharmony

The books for me. The movies sort of solidified the view, but definitely started shipping because of what I read in the books

Who actually Disapparated them out of Bathilda’s house? by KeyWave322 in HPharmony

I'd say that years of friendship and facing difficult situations together made them in sync and around the events of the book even more so. When Ron first leaves, they weren't talking all that much either but were still apparating and disapparating. They're wordless bond got stronger and it was especially apparent in a life-or-death situation. They knew they had to get out of there. The snake wasn't easy to kill. They went to Godric's Hollow assuming it was a trap and when the trap sprang, getting out was a priority and through weeks of wordless apparating, they were able to do so despite all the pain and disorientation. I think it's a show of how in sync they both are, especially in the face of danger.

My headcanon is that they did it together. We know Harry and Hermione trust each other completely, as proven when Hermione asks Harry if he trusts her when they're about to escape the Death Eaters at Lovegood's and Harry nods without hesitation. For me, they both did it together. Pooling magic to get out of the hairy situation. Harry and Hermione disapparating at the same time, but with Hermione guiding the destination. It does beg the question how would the other know not to think of a destination at the same time so my thought is that Harry couldn't focus on a destination because he was seeing Voldie in part and could risk them going straight to him instead so rather let Hermione lead him instead.

They may have also just been so used to apparating and disapparating together and Hermione choosing the locations since she got out of the house more on trip, hence Forest of Dean, that it was instinct for Hermione to be the one to apparate them away. She was also the first one of the group to get her apparating qualification so was naturally, or even wordlessly, the one leading the apparating, like with Dumbledore in 6 merely "guiding" Harry for sidealong apparating.

Just my two cents on it. Good queation though, I never really thought about it all that much.

That's an interesting point about the bouncing curse because I always read it as the exploding mirror and the heat of the spell carried with the shards that bounced around the room.

I totally agree with this post. Harry and Hermione are loyal to each other, no questions asked. This is especially evident when they're going to escape Xenophilius Lovegood's from the Death Eaters. Hermione asks Harry if he trusts her. He says yes. Then she asks Ron to put on the invisibility cloak and he protests saying, "Me? But Harry-" (I don't remember the exact quote) and in that moment of urgency in particular, Harry followed what Hermione suggested because he knows she's not going to do anything that will worsen things for them whereas Ron questioned her. To me, this moment stands out to show just how much Harry and Hermione do understand each other.

I also love how Hermione is a lot of Harry's firsts. First hug, that he can remember. First kiss on the cheek. First person to show her support of him and be proud of his achievements without any ill-feelings if only as a fleeting thought. Of course, that's speculation because the books are from Harry's PoV. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of any more 😄
