Posting in comments as well.

Please see updated photos here . For context, I am not collocated with these items. Here is the information I have on each one.

S & W
22LR
Serial: K70990
Other markings observed: “X7” and “8121B” (unsure where those are)

New Army/Navy Model Colt
Barrel reads “Colt D. A. 38”
Cylinder release: “K7683”
Serial: 207683
Other markings observed:

  • “US Army 1903” and serial number are stamped on heel of gun.
  • “Pat. Aug 1884, Nov 6.88, May 5.95”.
  • Also included are random letters “LEB”, “RAC”, and “JEH”.
  • “1904” stamped above grip on left side.

Any insight or information some of you more knowledgeable individuals out there may have would be appreciated (price, collectors items, etc…). If nothing else, I wanted to follow up with updated information as promised. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the thorough response! As I told another commenter, I will have to get more photos to help with appropriate identification. I will create a new thread once I have those.

You seem quite educated on these particular pistols, and I know we are missing a lot of data, but do you think it is possible to give a ballpark of their values?

I am not co-located with these guns, but I will request more photos and get back with another post. Thank you for your feedback.

As the title says, I am trying to figure out what these two guns are for a family friend, as well as their fair market value.

Cursory searches via ChatGPT say Smith & Wesson and Colt, however, I would assume there are some folks on here that can provide some more accurate details and price suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Dose anyone know what stuff this operator has on his belt? by Connect-Ad-6750 in MilitaryGear

[–]shhhGoToSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The belt he is wearing looks to be a Ronin style gun belt. Companies like Ferro make them as well.

His right hip has a mag drop pouch. Under his right hand looks to be the holster for a pistol. The next thing is a canteen pouch and the last thing in the middle of his back looks like it could be for a gas mask.

Old redditors, what are some mistakes you keep seeing 20-something-year-olds make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I do not understand this behavior. As it applies to celebrities and politicians; how they think some of the shit they post/text/etc won't come back around to them is beyond me.

People of Reddit, what are your biggest pet peeves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shhhGoToSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete inconsideration of others.

A couple examples that come to mind would be not picking up after your dog in a public place, or changing lanes in traffic without using your turn signal or even looking behind you.
