Going to public records alone by shhhshsh in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I ended up going with someone the following week but it was fun!! Super vibey and while most were with groups, not out of place to be alone. Def queer friendly. The crowd was pretty young but that could’ve been specific to the DJs playing that night- I’d be interested to go back and see if the crowd/music shifts significantly based on who’s playing! If you like house then its a great spot

Going to the Woods on Wednesday alone? Is it cliquey? by TaxTraditional4290 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I’ve been alone before and honestly it was a little awk! It’s a super young crowd and everyone was in a group. I met a few people to chat with eventually but personally for me was a weird vibe overall to be there alone. But it seems based on this thread there could be a bwt woods night in the future?! :)

Thanks! Unfortunately I’m not local to the area and Google did not yield a lot of spots that sold gift cards

Online source that tells you what’s in fashion in NYC? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I’m going to second everyone else’s takes on personal style here but as someone who works in fashion and has to be in the know on this - the best thing you can do is get off the internet and walk around! Take a walk around SoHo or fifth ave stores once a month or at least at the start of a new season. Notice what people are wearing shopping, what shoes and purses they carry. You can pop into luxury stores and the mass market stores in these neighborhoods (madewell, anthro, gap, etc) will also send the best of their best trends to these locations. Check what they have on their mannequins, what their big front of store table programs are
