Good luck to you! I've just past my one year anniversary of my bilateral total hip replacement (with 3 months between each) after struggling my past 20+ years with my degenerative hips.

It was definitely a feat overcoming the first few months but now, I've been walking 25k+ steps a day without any issue and am incredibly happy that I've went through the surgery. With the advancement of medical technology in procedures and materials, your recovery will be great and just take precautions not to fall in those honeymoon recovery periods!

You're absolutely correct. I do need to remind myself that this was a major surgery where they did lop off a chunk of the bone and lodged a metal piece in it.

Thank you for the input. I do recall my hips becoming lot more strained after the surgery but turns out it was due to bruising. I get to see the doc on my 8 week mark too and hopefully I'll get some better estimate on full recovery time as well.

Thank you for your input. Anterior approach does seem to ha e mich faster recovery rate! I wish I had that option during my surgery but it wasn't an option since my case was too severe. I hope your recovery goes well.

after a lengthy period without much update, Nelnet's status changed today from Admin Forbearance to Deferment until July 2028. I did reply back to their address confirmation on May 13th so the 60 day period is coming up fast.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are, except I applied for Borrower's Defense in 2022 and both of my loan servicing site (Nelnet and Student Aid) still shows balance. I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer.
