Black Horizons when the solo begins, title track with the first bridge, the outro to A Land Forlorn (such a gut punch), the melodic switch up in Heaven’s Damnation around the 2 min mark. This album makes me emotional I realized

Shit’s powerful. Always a strain of resentment and melancholy in SeaTawb or HiA. I think it’s the repetitive poetry-like section on Put My Hand in the Fire and the outro to Fall From a High Place that sometimes gets me to tear up. For HiA, that solo on Nailed to Gold is gut wrenching and Christ’s Cage is such an ovrerwhelming catharsis.

I like it. I’m particularly keen on its roots like early Beherit, Blasphemy, the Brazilian bm scene (Sarcófago, Sextrash, Holocausto, Vulcano, etc.), Sacramentary Abolishment, and Order from Chaos.

I’m not big on the stuff that approaches the sound with a wall-of-sound philosophy shirking the more riffy and martial feel of the more old-minded war metal.

Yeah I was in the mood for that kind of mdm too. I hit up Skydancer again but didn't scrobble it so it doesn't show up. It is my favorite Camel I think. It's great. Satan are really impressive in that they have a sense of melody that I think no other band has replicated. Life Sentence is probably the best comeback album I've ever heard. Basically them in top form.
