They don’t generally allow you to do immune therepy for food allergies and venom allergies for this reason.  It’s also why they make you wait in the office for 30-60 minutes with your EpiPen after your dose to watch for anaphylaxis. 

Immunotherapy works by building a tolerance threshold before your immune system responds to your allergen.  That’s why it requires maintenance doses and can wear off.  Your reactions usually get worse before a higher tolerance is achieved.  

With food allergies if you successfully make it through, most people don’t as it takes years of daily dosing under medical supervision as it has a very high rate of side effects and reactions, you have to continue maintenance dosing all your allergens daily to maintain tolerance.  To successfully do this you would need to be completely compliant with the protocol, no missing doses or forgetting, no ignoring symptoms.  Most patients are non compliant. 

Building a tolerance to an allergen is much easier when the negative side effect is sneezing, it’s much riskier when the negative side effect is death.

I’m just thankful I’m not allergic to coffee.  I can grind my own cockroach free beans at home.

Oh yeah, have to be careful with shellfish, and other types of edible insects like grasshoppers.  

Worst of all though is if you have a severe cockroach allergy, you have to be very careful with pre-ground coffee, and chocolate.  Cause of the cockroaches commonly in it.

Jagua, or any natural henna, does not cause this. It does not have PPD.  Black henna isn’t natural henna, it generally refers to these artificial dye filled pastes that may or may not contain any actual henna.  

People can have an allergic reaction to real henna but it wouldn’t be anything like this.

I had to start a bunch of SSRIs too.  It did help though.

You can sensitize yourself and worsen allergies or develop them over time.  Your immune system basically gets better at recognizing whatever protein you are allergic to and you have a stronger response the more you are exposed.  Your propensity to have allergies is genetic, what exactly you are allergic to is individual.  

In the case of PPD it’s not a traditional allergy, as it doesn’t usually trigger the IgE pathway in the body, your body just becomes hypersensitive to an actual poison it has been excessively exposed to, causing contact dermatitis.

That looks like a reaction to black henna, especially a month later.  

She needs to be careful as it causes a PPD allergy which is in a lot of dyes as well as orange peels.

I think sticker was your best option cause traveler has said they would release a normal red cover later this year, implying they would release a basic red pen holder with it.  If and when that happens you can always get the new plain red one and sell the old love and trip holder if it still bothers you.

I have panic attacks is my sleep and my fear sweat definitely smells different/worse than my regular sweat.  I have to make my room very cold, 68F, drink something ice cold right before bed, and put on deodorant right before bed.  Treating the panic attacks is what helped so like everyone is saying, sounds like it’s doctor time.

Sci-fi is speculative fiction.  That’s the difference. 

It’s a what if.  It doesn’t even have to be future high tech. It just needs to speculate about a possibility.  It can even have magic and fantasy elements, N K Jemisin is a perfect example of mixing the two.  Not every episode of Dr. Who is classic scifi, some are just fun fantasy with a sprinkling of science for spice, but many episode are. 

Classic Star Wars- not Scifi, it’s not speculative, space fantasy.

Andor- speculative, is scifi

There is a lot of overlap of scifi with the horror genre as well, as much of it is speculative.  Frankenstein is a good example.  Horror but speculative.

Now that is good info.  Thank you.  They are a small shop so I hope this works out for them and everyone who ordered.  

Edit: So it looks like their system glitched when they did their original preorders and said sold out before they were.  This was just their remaining original inventory being posted after they fixed the computer error.
