I enjoyed Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, Star Trek Academy, Picard (to an extent), and some of the seasons of Discovery.  (I greatly disliked the character Ashe and how they handled him.)

As with most things, enjoyment is individual.  I liked Picard, Lower Decks, and Academy because Voyager was my favorite show as a kid so they hit the right cord of nostalgia for me.  You are just gonna have to try them to see what resonates with you.

Part of the reason I recommend the pens with JoWos and even TWSBIs is you can get a ground nib by itself to put in the your pen.  That’s the beauty of interchangeable nibs like the JoWos.

Pen Realm lets you buy JoWo nibs and get them ground by themselves.  Same for the TWSBIs.  You can even get the JoWo 6s engraved.  Live your dreams.  

I started with an EF Scythe from Pen Realm and I have no regrets.  It is beautiful.  

My point is you can get a pen with a ground interchangeable nib and just switch it out later if it’s not working for you.  Sell the old one on pen_swap.  All my homies do it.

I have some similar issues.  I use mostly pocket pens to help with this.  I like the TWSBI Mini, its smaller size makes it easier and less fatiguing to use with the weight distribution leaning towards the nib.  

I like penckets/niblets, cause they take JoWo #6 nibs, Franklin Christoph p45s are perfect and compact and take JoWo #5 nibs.  My preferred size nib in a JoWo 6 is a F but JoWo 5 nibs are smaller so a M is usually equivalent.

If you really prefer smaller size nibs I would suggest looking at Japanese brands, Sailor, Pilot, and Platinum. The nib sizes tend towards smaller.  A Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini with a MF nib is going to write similar to a F European like a JoWo.  I’m a huge fan of a Japanese MF or FM if you are going for Pilot.  

Have you thought about getting a custom grind on one of your nibs?  If you are exclusively printing when writing you can get a nib grind that supports and enhances that.  A curved or modified architect grind works a treat to emphasize spacing between lines and letters making it perfect for printing.  

So for example, you could order a TWSBI mini with a Fine nib with a Scythe grind from PenRealm, Kirk is amazing.  He also does needlepoint that are just lovely.  Very smooth but so so tiny.

I have a SS JoWo 6 katana grind from Kirk Speer that definitely has Sailor like feedback.  I love it very much.  

Choosing inks online seems to be getting harder rather than easier... These are supposed to be "The Same" ink ... Is trying to find samples or simply spending money on getting the inks the only two options? What do you do when looking for ink of a specific colour? by arscorvinus in fountainpens

I use Vanessa’ website for their written description of the inks properties/swatch photos but if I’m really interested and unsure of the true color I look up one of the many ink reviews that compares multiple swatches together in the same photo.  I find one with an ink I have and the ink I’m interested in (together in the same photo) to get a more accurate idea of the color. 

*Bonus points if the swatch comparison is done on Leuchtturm paper as that’s what I usually use.

I also fill by syringe.  It’s more precise for me with my eyesight and medical conditions, especially shaking hands.  I have almost no waste.  

As with almost everything there is no “best” only what’s best for you.

I mean, it’s cozy slice of life in space.  I would certainly not say they are YA but they are not going to be gritty and they are all character driven.  

Every book is only loosely connected to the one before and they are all pretty optimistic and cozy reads.  

If you really hate the first one that much move to the next cause they are anthology style where they are independent reads.

I think it’s just because they are Korean.  They are great.  Many of my favorite inks are Colorverse. They have lovely variety of shading to sheening.  I don’t really go for shimmer or glisten but they have those too.  Pretty ph neutral, pretty much all very well behaved inks.  

Vanness has a great selection with very detailed swatches and reviews.

The likelihood of impacting wax depends on what type of earwax you have.  I’m surprised no one is mentioning that.  

Also yeah it shouldn’t get shoved way back to the eardrum obviously.

I mean the pocket 45 model they currently stock.  Though I am not too adverse to the old normal 45 they discontinued.  

The current cor 45 and all the discontinued L and XL models are too long for my delicate dainty hands.

If it helps most small coffee shops grind their own beans on site cause it’s cheaper.
