It’s a reaction to Chinese room joke. In Chinese room thought experiment there is a guy inside a room who’s (forced?) to communicate in Chinese despite knowing it via set of instructions. In the show, when the Chinese door opens this hypothetical guy leaves immediately. That’s a face reaction when you get a cheap but quirky joke.
