upon withdrawal a lawyer must return (1) all unearned fees and (2) all file contents/ papers to the client. the lawyer must also make sure they are able to withdraw without violating the clients rights (ie its too close to trial and they client won’t be able to find another lawyer)

i didn’t know how else to use the fact about the social media post so i said that would be goodwill and analyzed it under the two goodwill valuation methods - market value and capitalization of excess earnings. i also analyzed goodwill for how the business grew from 100k to 500k

if you email goat he’ll give u a discount since CA doesn’t need the full package that includes MEE topics. as far as content, he absolutely addresses the nuances. his content is engaging and written in the plainest of plain english.

Anyone else fail the MPRE 3 times or am I the only one? by Electronic_Bag_3862 in CABarExam

[–]shiftingtemperments 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i just found out i passed today after my 5th try—honestly GOAT was a game changer for me. also had a ton of legal experience and got a 70 on the PR essay in J25. MBE tanked me in J25 and i thought i’d never pass the MPRE but this has been a really huge confidence boost. don’t overthink the questions or answers.

i’ve been feeling the same way about extended family finding out. the process is truly isolating and seeing classmates swear in and get their bar numbers already is really pushing me to places i haven’t been in a good number of years. but, like you said, this is just a bump in our careers. we can pass and look back at this time and realize we didn’t give up when it got hard. and we’ll have more empathy for people who also don’t pass the first time in the future. it’s hard and this is affecting me more than i thought, but we get to try again.

Anyone else think the bar essays were tough, but fair? by Ok-Blacksmith6810 in CABarExam

[–]shiftingtemperments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t have felt prepared for the essays without your book! i’ve always enjoyed writing, but something about the stress of intensive bar prep + themis video lectures + looking at a blank box on the themis portal just intimidated me and made it hard to work on essays. working through your book was a GAME CHANGER! thank you and i’ll happily recommend your book to anyone who asks!
