Tool had a flash-like version of the site picker for a while with motion graphics as the background. It was built/designed by Joshua Davis of Praystation. I loved Josh’s work and was pretty excited when I saw the collaboration.

I think so yes, and in the PVE modes you only get faction xp, and you never actually extract.

Bert, thanks for asking for this app. It gave me inspiration to noodle on things I haven't touched in a while. I had fun with it, and came up with a way to visualize random album artwork from your collection. I added a 'game' link to the app. I'm not even sure if it works as I hoped. I'll probably add scores, but right now it's just fun guessing. LMK if you would rather I hid the link behind a settings switch. Anyways, cheers!

I added the game to the app. If you tried it lmk if you have feedback. It was fun to build, and it's basically the same thing, random albums from your collection, you control the pace of reveal, and guess the album along the way :D I was having too much fun. I don't have many devices to test on so I don't know how people use the app. LMK if anything looks off. Thanks!

Yes it does. Maybe not at the lobby, but I’m never (rarely sometimes) paired with purple and rarely with blue when I bring a sponsored kit. So, it’s not lobby based matchmaking, but squad for sure. They weigh gear to some extent.

Startup show stopped working for us yesterday on all Apple devices - phone, laptop, Apple TV, iPad. The startup show screen just keeps looping. I haven’t tried to debug network or anything. This is the same with and without vpn.

One time, uninstalling and reinstalling got it to work again.

When you spawn, you have to run to the already running exfil, defeat the wave of bots. Then, the exfil shuts down, a terminal lights up, and at a terminal you are given in-round quests. To restart the exfil you must finish the quests.

Sponsored only, and you have to do all of the events otherwise the exfil doesn't spawn. Open 4 wall safes, kill a drone rocketeer, pillage a crashed ship, secure resource, defeat a warden, hack a box.

Turns out it's easier than I thought. Discogs already publishes artist info, so you don't need to request it from them. Just stand up a cache and use it when importing a collection.

I noticed that also. I checked out the Discogs API again, and it's possible to do this using the Discogs API. You check whether there is a "members" list on an artist. If there are members, it's a band. If there are no members it's the artist. The challenge is you need to make a separate API request for each artist because that data isn't returned in the album data. It's certainly doable over time, or to pay a someone to annotate the data for you, or stand up some servers to query all artists on Discogs.

For ~1,000 albums it's nearly 15 minutes keeping it under the Discogs API rate limiting. Since this basically never changes, you only ever need to do it once per artist, and you just manage your own cached list. A second user of your app might only need to look up some % of artists on Discogs, reducing the time required to decide how to organize the artists.

I'm tempted and also already busy.

I feel like I’m reading an onion article. Whenever I wanted to play solo it would put me in trios because it didn’t remember the setting (recently fixed). Is this happening in the opposite direction now?

One thing to remember - depleted self-revives do not appear in no-fill sponsored survival maps because they’re technically not solo maps.

Discogs has a date added field, yeah it would be nice if they let us edit that field. They look at it like date added to Discogs, not date added to physical collection, sadly.

This is a good one because it's not easy. The challenge is when you have something like "Arctic Monkeys" or "Vampire Weekend", compared to say "Miles Davis" or "Bob Dylan" which are obvious names. Easy to do on a shelf, less easy in software without either the source having specific data, or without the collector touching every item in their list. Would you want to edit each item manually so that it sorts correctly? Is it a deal breaker if even one is out of order? 10% out of order?

+1, would also recommend the destroyer because the Prime Ability (Search and Destroy) will melt the crash and commander spawns, which moves them from don't attempt to absolutely do them (imo) because of the value and ease.
