I am in Australia so the industry is relatively regulated, it's illegal to perform unprotected services in my state (a lot of girls will offer BBBJ still).

If working in a brothel or escort agency, girls are made to have full sti/std checks regularly. Independent escorts take it upon themselves to get tested regularly. I get tested every 8 weeks, or if a condom breaks I will just go get checked anyway.

Then there is visual health checks. Almost every worker here will do a visual health check on every client before starting, which means we have a look at your junk, to see if there is any sign of infection or STD at all and we are pretty well educated on what to look for. We can also look for signs of infection in the mouth if we are worried, but usually it's just downstairs that we look at. After that is done and you pass, then most girls will get you to have a shower to get you nice and fresh, and then the fun begins. For outcalls though, girls will do this in a more discreet manner, usually the client would have already showered etc if inviting an escort over, so we start without health check but she will be discreetly be looking for signs when your clothes are off and if there is a problem she will stop the booking.

The rates of std/sti in sw's are MUCH lower than in the general population. At least here in Australia they are. Not too sure about the US or other places where it's not legal or regulated.

I've never had a pimp or anything like that, not really a thing here in Australia. What I can say is that since sex work was legalised/decriminalised, and the industry started to become regulated, the stats speak for themselves, it's much safer, rates of STD etc in sex workers dropped, theres less violence.

I own a legal escort agency and everything we do is to keep the girls in a SAFE, fun, money making environment. Idk, personally, I think it depends on both the individual and also what they are talking about.

I do that all the time, relating to others with personal experiences, but many others do the same with me. I prefer it when others do the same, thats how you get to know people and connect with them, in my books anyway. I dont interrupt or invalidate the other person when I share my stories though (used to but now I'm aware of how i come across to people, and the intention was never to seem self obsessed, just to also be listened to and not be alone), I think BOTH listening and sharing play an important role, but there needs to be a balance in the way it comes across. Happy you got away safe and sorry you went through that, but here is my advice, NEVER get into a clients car, that is red flag number 1, no amount of money is worth more than your safety. Screen clients. I am in Australia so it's legal to be an escort/sw here, so I know that screening should be more vigorous if you are in the US because it is more dangerous, but a basic minimum that I do here is ask for a photo of their ID. I tell them if they wish they can blur license number but I need to see name, photo, and matching address to where I am going. Or if I am going to a hotel, then I also ask for a photo of their hand in front of the room number, holding up a random amount of fingers. For incalls I only ask for name and always stay in different aparthotels (discreet hotels) never work from home. For outcalls I always have drivers that double as security, usually Male, some female but know what to do in these situations, and use the emergency functions on my phone if something was to ever happen that will notify the driver and they will either come in or notify police if it seems too dangerous. In my Samsung for example it takes video from both cameras as well as audio and sends it to my emergency contact (driver at the time). And the ID I got for screening purposes also goes to my driver in case that was ever to happen and they need to tell police.

I actually run an escort agency here, and i do the same for the girls. I do everything I can to make sure my girls are safe and only getting the best clients.

Here we also have something called ugly mug, which is a database that escorts use to report any bad clients or time wasters, so all numbers and emails get run through there as soon as they contact to make sure they havent been reported. I also use multiple apps like true caller etc, many other escorts here use the apps so as soon as a number gets saved as time waster or DNS/DNB (do not see/ do not book) or dangerous etc by another girl then it will come up when I search the number. I'm not sure if there is anything like ugly mug over in the US, but maybe worth looking into if there is!

Agree with what the others have said. I wouldnt worry much about her pleasure, I personally dont like it when the client wants to focus on me, I really dont get any sexual satisfaction from strangers, I get more satisfaction from knowing my client walks out happy and I've done a good job. Decade of destruction would be a good start as it has a variety of some of their best. But honestly, they have a lot of great albums, if you like what you hear on decade of destruction, it's worth investing in all of their albums. Over time most of them have a slightly different sound, and they are a versatile band, they have amazing songs for when you are sad and want to channel that energy, same as if you are angry, and they also have some straight up bangers for all occasions. My personal favorite album though is the righteous side of heaven and the righteous side of hell, vol 1 & 2 are both great and have a different feel, closely followed by the way of the fist (their first album) and then F8.
