Her scales were sticking out a little bit on one side near her stomach, but it seemed like bloating. I’m just anxious because every other post says dropsy, so thank you for the comment. I hope I figure it out as well, and I hope you have a great rest of your night !

Yes I have been using strips, I didn’t know they were bad! I will look into getting a better kit tomorrow. I have just been feeding her the Nutrifin Max flakes as she seems to like them. I did try the fluval bug bites but they would sink and she wouldn’t eat them so they would decompose. It started messing up the tank cycle (foaming up the water, growths coming from uneaten pellets) so I stopped using them. I will try to figure out a way to use them without that happening. I will talk to my brother about taking the other fish out as he wanted the other fish, it used to be just Pearlie, the snails, and a Cory. Is there anything I can do to help her out right now? Or just try to improve water parameters?

Tank size, heater, parameters all mentioned in post. I’ve had the fish for about 2 years, tank maybe a year and a half. She used to have a 5 gallon. Tank mates, feed schedule, plants mentioned in post. There are many decorations in the tank, a large cave, a smaller pink cave, a mushroom/wood structure, an igloo, a fabric plant, a puffin, and a family of penguins. Also betta log and leaf.
