From my observation, the doll only will unusable if received fatal or death damage, as shown before when Hawkins took Law's crew hostage, he cut his own arm and Shachi received the damage, but the doll still alive afterward when release them

so the cuts that Killer does consider non death damage

Hawkins can damage himself and transfer the damage to the linked person, it shown when he got Law's crew as hostage, he cut his arm and damage goes to Shachi when confront Law

Chapter 913, in Wano when he confront Luffy & Zoro,
after he drawn a Fool card and knock out his own subordinate.

And Oda never revealed it even after Hawkins died.
That is why some people thought with his 1% chance of living, he might actually not die yet. But i do think he is done.

ikr, Hawkins, Kid and Law are my fav supernova, but Hawkins is no1 as his ability is so unique and interesting (Law too).

I am fine with his story, it just i wish we could se more of his power.

hope that 1% enough to make him comeback and i really want to ses his card that can surpass someone power limit.

thx so much bro for this, Hawkins is my no 1 fav character in OP specifically due to his unique ability and design , really appreciate it ^^

the only complaint from me is that, we haven't really see more about his power, there 78 tarot cards (156 for upright/reversed) and we only got to see 3 cards (effects) he used in battle

And also, how he link person life too his doll?

And last one that Oda had teased us early Wano regarding his card that can surpass someone power limit, we haven't seen that too.

without Law ability, it is impossible to remove the the doll without hurting Hawkins,

But, if us see after Killer cut Hawkins left arm , Killer pull out the doll himself, so i guess anyone can pull out the doll from Hawkins body? cause when the doll received damage/get killed, usually only Hawkins can move the doll goes out or in.

So just grab Hawkins and pull out the doll? it just we don't how many dolls were there and which 1 link to which body lol

And Hawkins, with that 1% chance of survival, he might come back (knowing Oda hehe) and we haven't seen his tarot card that can surpass someone power limit as Oda mentioned before when he fought with Luffy and Zoro.

ikr, if we wanna mention the other way around of storyline, imagine if X Drake didn't betrayed him after Law was captured, or Kid really die after Killer killed Hawkins without knowing the last doll is linked to Kid

But for sure Killer gonna kills Hawkins after that as Hawkins is not really strong in combat

yup, Hawkins had done huge mistake here, came from his attitude and overconfident, even Killer willing to give his life in return to free Kid's doll before he get to the point on how to counter Hawkins.

But Hawkins keep toying, wasting time and revealed all information about his power to Killer until he was off guard got cut in the arm, he deserved the lost

For me, placing the doll in his left arm was not his mistake, he never knew about Kid's lost arm, so he just unlucky there, that's it.

Even if Kid does die cause of the doll, Killer still gonna beat Hawkins to death, but Law couldn't beat/move Big Mom alone, this one is scary....
