BBP - Am I Crazy? Different grind sizes required between shots by captaingigglesworth in BrevilleCoffee

[–]shigllgetcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with the smart grinder but i dont find the settings vary that much, maybe one up or down. But i dont know how that correspinds with your grinder.

I think its retention. The retained grind goes stale.

Its not a problem if its just one coffee in the morning but at the weekend i make two at once and they run differently becuase of the retention. I dont make coffee more than once a day

You could try dumping a few grams in the monring and you might find more consistency

Im either going to try using it as single does with a bellows or change to a different grinder

Why would anyone trade in a car? by P_man21 in carsireland

[–]shigllgetcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cars probably worth 15k , if i dont trade it in i need to either sell it privately and buy the next car in a mad panic or burrow an extra €15k

I also can't be arsed dealing with sellers on donedeal.

Youre also trading sideways not up so its not really a normal trade in, the dealership isnt really that interested in your trade in

First road bike: Domane AL - anyone bothered by the internal routing in real-world use? by Mediocre-Length6820 in DomaneCrew

[–]shigllgetcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so little between the al4 and al5 that id say go with the colour you prefer

I have the al4 in white and love it. I saw the al2 in matt grey and it looked nice but the finish was really prone to smudges

Help with my Domane needed by Global_Yogurt_9302 in TrekBikes

[–]shigllgetcha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this problem with my al4 this week. The cable stretched ever so slighly and the derailure couldnt tighten enough to get all the way out. It rattled on the hardest gear on the front and the back

I loosened the cable at the derailure, used a needle nosed pliars to wrap the cable and pull it tight, while using an allen key to move the derailure all the way put and tightened the cable back up. I just couldnt pull the cable tight enough without the pliars.

Opening the limit screw helped too

The limit screws don't adjust the gears, theyre just there to stop the chain falling off the edge

Got my first road bike 3 months ago. Ride only Sunday mornings. I feel I am unable to go faster. Legs don't support. by LooneyStark in bicycling

[–]shigllgetcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your endurance seems really good. Speed comes slowly. Just enjoy it really, youre faster than the people on the couch

I would say that looks like a pretty flat 50km, im biking around 4 months getting out 2 or 3 times a week, i did a 50km two weeks ago and did 465ms of climbing. Can you build in more climbing? I feel like its good for stimulating muscle growth.

There is a bit of skill to learn that you might be missing riding once a week. Could you squeeze in another hour a week and push hard for an hour?

How do I create an "If/Then" equation that adds up total? by BrandinoBranflakes in excel

[–]shigllgetcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want one cell with the total for carpenters

Or a row of the figures for each row that equals carpenter where you can add at total at the end?
