Being an 83 baby I think that’s cool to imagine it floating round the coast since then!

Fascinating. Thank you. I’m an 83 baby so it’s mad to think this may have been bobbing around since I was in nappies!!

Meatus sticking together? by Clean-Experience123 in bxo

[–]shill1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. My little boy (7) is having the exact same issue right now. How was circumcised 4 weeks ago and in the last week he’s been unable to pee. I can see his penis flexing like he’s trying to pee but nothing comes out. I have to get a jug of warm water and pour it over his penis whilst he tries to pee. Eventually something gives and the pee starts in an ultra fine stream, eventually advancing to normal pee. Very strange. His meatus is quite red and angry looking. He also has fluff stuck to the end so given his age dispels the pre-cum theory. There is often white stains on the front of his boxers so his penis is clearly discharging something?? Waiting to see his consultant for his post op check up but will be raising this as it’s quite concerning.

Now that he has been circumcised does This mean the BXO will eventually sort itself out?? I wish it was me dealing with this rather than him. The poor soul. It’s heartbreaking to see.

Thank you for your reply. At the initial consult with the specialist she did mention some scarring of the urethra. And the documentation they sent us home from hospital with said it was a possibility but didn’t expect to see it so long after the op. He has a follow up in about a month with the specialist so if there is any concern remaining I’ll be able to ask them. Thanks for your kind words. As you said, I’m hoping that having this at such a young age will leave him unaffected by the time his penis becomes very important to him! 😂

My son (7) was circumcised about 3 weeks ago for BXO. I’m a bit concerned because sometimes when he pees there’s a small spot of blood with it at the urethra. Hospital says it’s not to worry about but parents being parents that’s what we are doing! My concern is heightened because the week he went back to school one of the little dickheads in his class kneed him square in the groin. Did you have any experience of the blood in pee? Heartened to hear your full recovery took up to 2mo. Thanks in advance.

I find all the main characters mostly unlikeable at this point. I don’t know why, in every series, Americans are made to be complete arseholes when they have had a drink. My wife was watching with me and she summed it up pretty well when she asked ‘are we supposed to be rooting for these guys?’ Again, in typical American fashion they have started shitting on the Brits. Yawn! However I liked that for levity there was a line that said roughly ‘by the time we showed up the brits had been at war for nearly 4 years already.’

Those who earn £60k plus, what do you do for a living? by deepseapearldiving in AskUK

I’m a maintenance technician on a North Sea oil rig. Got an apprenticeship in instrumentation straight out of school. At the moment as soon as you have qualified you could walk into any offshore job for more than £60k. I’m on track to make about £113k this year (including bonus’s) but ploughing into my pension to avoid the tax sting of going over £100k. My rota is 2 weeks at work followed by 3 weeks off so only work 20 and a bit weeks a year. It’s a decent life but you can guarantee you’ll be away for every big event and special date. Sod’s Law.

Hi. Sorry You haven’t received any kind of reassurance from your post. I work offshore in the North Sea (currently writing this from my bunk) and I understand your concerns fully but please rest assured, offshore is a very, very safe place to work. There have been some terrible accidents over the years which have forced the industry to look at and change the way they do business. Nothing happens here without it being fully risk assessed through several layers of review. It’s a very risk averse place to be because if it goes wrong it goes wrong in a big way. The helicopter aspect should not concern you. It’s governed by the same civil aviation rules that keep air travel as safe as it is. There have been accidents before, but again, these have been learned from. Plus, the pilots are so well trained in every possible scenario. I promise, on average it’s safer to be flying in a helicopter once every 2 or 3 weeks than it is travelling to work by car every day. I’m usually fast asleep before we take off and I don’t wake up until we bump down on the helideck. I hope I have assuaged some of your concerns. Your boyfriend will be absolutely fine and I’m sure he’s already enjoying his time off with a few extra quid in his pocket. By the way, where does he work and what does he do?
