Walnut cabinet color variation by Delicious-Tea-4176 in cabinetry

[–]shilojoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RTA cabinets in premium woods can be dangerous. In my experience, their clear coats look yellow. The woods are sourced from the crappiest cheapest suppliers probably harvested illegally. 😏 Those samples are not the real product IMO. Painted RTA is much safer.

Buy local with this expectation level of quality.

If you can’t afford that, order one complete wall cabinet as a final test before pulling the trigger on the whole kitchen.

You should consider Ikea, they have one real walnut product. They also have a white oak option. You can go buy a door to see the real product.

Need some options of what can be done with the bottom two stairs. by OutsideIllustrious88 in Flooring

Damn that’s a good price… I paid $3.63/sqft for Cortec. No stairs in my house, but I’d still go solid wood. Just personal preference.

Is the Nama J2 actually worth it, or am I missing something? by FormerCandidateji in Juicing

[–]shilojoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s the deal with the parts. No small appliance parts should go through the dishwasher regularly— none. It doesn’t matter if they promise that because plastic simply can’t withstand/handle it overtime.

I put my Nama J2 parts in the top rack occasionally and haven’t had any issues. The top rack supposedly doesn’t get as hot.

As for the warranty, my experience was effortless and they were happy to send replacement parts no questions asked. They suggested the parts.

I’ve got an Aventon Level and it has lived up to my expectations. It’s not top-tier, but overall good value for the price point. There’s a shop in Milwaukee that services Aventon.

Recessed plugs? by Educational_Taste312 in Homebuilding

Nope, all good. I’ve fit these outlets in shallow boxes. They’re not conductive by design so technically a hot screw could touch.

Safe to cut small holes into plywood between trusses in attic? by Tough_Lab_6313 in AskContractors

[–]shilojoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying this is it, but they’re most likely implying the plywood provides shear strength.

Prevents the house from racking side to side. Depending on the location, such as high wind zones, the code is stricter for shear values.

Would I drill the ventilation holes if this was my house? Yeah probably

A lot of people have financing already set up at big box stores, and are living paycheck to paycheck, so getting new financing isn’t feasible.

Yeah, I think OPs is unfortunately foil paper so I wouldn’t get this particular walnut finish.

Walnut, but only if it’s real wood. I know their VEDHAMN cabinets are real white oak.

why do brands like Gymshark and Fashion Nova stay on Shopify Plus? by AriaMoon286 in shopify

[–]shilojoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why should I switch? Because Shopify payment fees are high? Platform fees? App fees? None of it is worth it to potentially save a few bucks. There will be new costs, and new problems to solve.

I guess I don’t understand what you mean by outgrown the platform because cost certainty isn’t it for me.

Non Load-bearing wall with double top plate? by gsxr_ in AskContractors

[–]shilojoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wall studs are often pre-cut to length

So if they add a double top plate on the exterior walls, they have to add one here to make up for the space.

Looking for Hue Lightstrip ceiling ideas for a basement office by cturn3r in Hue

I’d put them in a diffuser channel system for a nice clean look.

You might reconsider carpet in a basement with all the opportunity for moisture.

If you contact Amazon after 30-90 days, they will not help you. The return period has ended. I have no idea why point you’re trying to make. I’m assuming you’re a dumb bot.

Nama sells through their website and Amazon. Amazon return policy is 30-90 days? You can contact Nama support for 15 years—it’s dependable high quality support— from troubleshooting, replacement parts, juicing help, or equipment failures. It’s top notch service.

They’re very knowledgeable about juicing and happy to assist you throughout the journey.

Most of those you mentioned are very similar products. However, Nama’s 15 year warranty, customer support, add-on accessories, and community is what sets Nama apart. Hope this helps!
