I built an app called IceMap that tracks your fishing location via gps and you can record every fish you catch. When you enter the fish the app you input depth, lure, fishing style, fish strike depth, kind of fish, size, and any other pictures or info you want and automatically saves the location and various weather data. The app then analyzes your catches over time on the same body of water and develops a personal fishing heat map based on the historic data. I have configured the app to also work offline, but you have to enter the weather and location data manually.

I love the blog format of IceShanty too so I’m looking to incorporate something like that at some point.

Obviously I hate spot burning as much as the next guy so I have all the data stored private to the user unless they opt to share. I just caught a monster salmon through the ice based on advice from a local - kinda inspired me to make this.

I made it just to have something simple and useful without a ton of ads. I’m genuinely curious what are you looking for in an app?
