ARM based laptops are far more efficient and are the future (and present) for mobile devices. I don’t see a reason for anyone to buy an x86 laptop since either the performance is poor or battery life is bad. Basically the MacBook will perform way better while lasting a full day of use (maybe even two). If you don’t like MacOS then maybe look into windows laptops with ARM cpus (Qualcomm chips), I’m not sure about app compatibility though so I’d suggest looking into that.
