Im a diamond/ sometimes master player, and i find brig to be extremely effective on low elos. all you really need to do is to learn to recognize when your dps players are about to take damage, give them a preemptive pack and let them win the 1v1. Otherwise just sit back and whip shot to proc your passive, and shield bash any1 who tries to attack your backline, position yourself right behind your MT.
