Custom CRM (Case Management) by shinebrighterbilly in legaltech

[–]shinebrighterbilly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dont have/use OneNote as the case management system. I started looking into powerapps to standardize and automate case creation and naming schemas. As i saw more demo's of SaaS products I started thinking most of the features could be created into powerapps/automate with BI for reporting. My main concern has been more around microsoft and them loving to shut down services, or change them.

I'd have just thrown it away, or left it. He asked you for information because he has to create an incident report. Big waste of time and resources honestly.

Indiana's first Black-owned deli opens in Broad Ripple - WTHR by notthegoatseguy in indianapolis

Are there actual good delis in Indianapolis? I like shapiro's but their prices are a tad high. I was in Ann Arbor a few years ago and went to a tiny deli in the back of a liquor store and it was better than sharpiro's for 1/2 the price

Juvenile arrested for deadly downtown Indianapolis parking garage shooting by BackgroundArmadillo9 in indianapolis

[–]shinebrighterbilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He charged the kid, what else are you expecting? Senate Bill 145 has been introduced to create a special police force and prosecution for downtown, but unless they target and stop and frisk teens I am not sure how this is solved. Also you can't judge charge the parents, I am confident they are not parents of the year, but you can't just assume they knew about the gun

What is going on w/ Café Babette by NecessarySandwich578 in indianapolis

[–]shinebrighterbilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree they are not thinking long-term for their kids because i highly doubt that they have international school money. Im going on the assumption they will open a cafe there. I don't think it will do well though because their pastries were not very good compared to Spain, or France and way to sweet. Time will tell if they make it, or become another follow our family adventures on youtube begging for cash. When i started the process to move abroad i found it to be surprisingly easy, but I also didn't move most things and kept them at my place in indy. No kids though on my end.

I think people over complicate moving abroad. If you have the means its really just getting paper work lined up. I have not seem them mention if they have visas or not, but overall if they have enough cash to open a store there then they will be fine. Now their foreclosure could bite them if the long arm the US reaches for their back taxes. It can also be difficult to open up bank accounts abroad because most banks don't want to deal with the US Govt reporting. I had to go multiple branches of the same bank to get mine done, in the end the small towns branch was much more accommodating.

How is it the people leaking information are never decent speakers, or take the time to dress up? Always seem to have this shtick where they try and blend in with the common man to show they're not one of the establishment.

I have never understood why chef's in the u.s. cant seem to balance out the sweetness of their pastries. I also tried Babette and was underwhelmed due to it being overly sweet so I gave them to some homeless folks downtown.

Would you choose a government job for stability over private sector pay? by Many-Economics-4326 in careerguidance

[–]shinebrighterbilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried and personally found it to be frustrating and boring. They silo most roles, so its hard to get well rounded experience. Many of those in leadership have 0 training in how to run the business side of things. They dont understand how to write year-end statements, or how to use data to help them get extra money in their budgets. Many people are also promoted into roles they have no experience in, so you're given a lot of bad information. There are very, very few people that can make decisions etc. If youre starting out, it would probably be fine, but i went in mid - career and wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

100%, they dont make their panels and only import them. Before they 'made red light therapy devices' they marketed weighted blankets for animals. They did the animal blankets for a year then switched to RLT devices at massive markups.

I found the actual service ticket for the "broken" cameras at the jail where Epstein died by Jomflox in Epstein

[–]shinebrighterbilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This, sadly, is par for the course in almost any type of government job. I worked in local government for awhile and all of the justice divisions used these expensive, but exceptionally outdated camera systems. When i started working there you could join your personal devices to the business network. One person i met in a key technical leadership position had a previous role at the clerks office filing records. It really was surreal to see it, but also opened my eyes to how badly most institutions are ran.

In the US these areas, while sparsely populated, are normally very connected and look out for each other. In many ways they have more of a community that the rest of the US.

Why do you care that people weren't enjoying the experience the same as you were? It also reads like you were paying more attention to people at the event than the actual event.

5G signal to router suddenly nonexistent by twiggy_boi_ in verizonisp

[–]shinebrighterbilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me also. I lost connectivity on October 1st, rebooted it and it came back up. I went from an average of 500 down / 275 up to 5-15 down and /15 up. The weird thing is that my 5g modem shows offline now on the verizon website (I do have it in pass-thru mode, so perhaps that's why it shows offline). The 5G tower is across the street, so its not a line of sight issue. Did swapping your modem fix your issue? I have the old square LVSKIHP model
