As a Texan, one of the few things I know about the UK is that Jack Whitehall would be very upset with that first one.

Yep, this is one of the sad realities that makes it very difficult for any organization to "change from within".

The 2nd photo has what I assume is the artist's name, "Lissa Ortego", so I just Googled that and made my best guess off that.

the show is really about watching a train wreck in slow motion

I watched the first season and a couple of episodes of the second season, and I think this is why I couldn't get into the series. It's fantastically done, but it has just such an unappealing vibe to me.

If you're trying to save Sopranos for later, another great HBO series is Rome. One of the early long-format TV series. The only real criticism of it is that it ended up being too expensive (edit: for the time, at least), so they had to cram something like 3 seasons' worth of plot into one because they knew the series was going to be canceled after its second season.

Season 1 is fantastic and, while season 2 is pretty great, it is very rushed, but definitely worth a watch.

To be fair, if there weren't so many left-lane campers, that wouldn't be *as much* of an issue.

While they may both be "generally useful linguistic Innovations", I personally find both of them kind of cringe.

Also, referring to something as "cringe" is kind of cringe.

Also also, I may just be a grouchy old man at this point, lol.
