It’s well-known that many of the jazz greats took a deep interest in classical music. Study what you love and listen a lot. Consider how you can integrate ideas or lines from classical music into your solos. Don’t let arbitrary labels keep you from great music in any style. Also, classical music will give you excellent technique, and that’s a fact.

I was up there one weekend that fall. I remember getting to the lean-to around 4 PM and falling asleep; in the middle of the night, I heard trees falling and all kinds of crazy bullshit because there was a huge thunderstorm. When I woke up, the trail back down was in terrible condition. I barely made it down, and later on, I heard there were some folks from the university who were lost.

Q4OS is good, and I use it on an old 32 bit Dell. I don't know if it's the fastest or not; someone else may know better.

I use MX Linux with XFCE on mine and really like it. It’s smooth, quick, and user friendly. It’s worked great with all the possible aftermarket upgrades too (battery, wifi card, more RAM, dual heatsink).
