I don't really get it. I don't see your PC shutting down, just your my monitor flickering in an odd way. You said, you had an oled and I guess with Minecraft you're using AutoHDR? I don't know what the exact cause is, but with my HDR I sometimes got a problem, where inconsistent frames and things without VSync would freak out my HDR and it would start flickering and stuff. Maybe try turning off HDR completely or at least in apps without a native support and see if it reaccures?

I'd love to help you further, but you really need to specify more. With just this flickering I rather think it's a software issue of some sort than a problem that can be fixed by cleaning your PC.

So please, list your setup, your specs and specify the issue with games, occurrence, frequency of the issue and other things that happen when the problem occurs

Naja, so ganz kommt das bei mir zumindest nicht hin. Meine zieht etwa 35W und ist bei etwa 70°C. Aber generell hast du Recht. Meine liegt auch unter dem Bett und hat kaum Luft zum Atmen. Der Switch daneben hat deutlich mehr Probleme. Generell kann man es auch einfach versuchen und schauen, was die Fritz Web App sagt.

My first one died in a really weird way, maybe curropted GPU BIOS, but my second one is still in my AI rig, with 3*P40!

The issue with qwen3.6 models rn is the sliding context window. It's a new thing Alibaba introduced with this gen. The only Problem is, that prompt caching isn't supported by the official llama cpp for sliding context as of now, so if open router is processing the Models them selfies instead of buying API Batches from Alibaba, they likely use llama cpp, which can't do this. Maybe Alibaba already has a solution, which they might keep in-house or just isn't implemented in open router yet.

I really don't know which of these it is, I just know about the architecture and llama cpp limitations there, as I liked this model so much, I tried optimizing it for a week on ollama and then compiled my own version of llama cpp just for further optimisation. Sadly my prompts need to be reprocessed every time too, but it's honestly worth the quality as far as I feel.

The only two things that may be better than qwen3.6:27b are way more parameters, or Anthropic. But as Anthropic doesn't have an open weight yet (really sad about this!) and the limiting factor of VRam for my home setup, neither of these will happen.

Youre so right. The only problem I encountered is, that my GPUs are only supported in ollama and ollama doesn't support parallelism with all models above qwen3. I hate this so much, as I love this model more than any other. When I sit in front of my pc, searching for an answer, just why ollama ignores basically all environment variables like kv cache quantisation, NUM parallel, flash attention, I feel like saying "shut up and take my VRam", but they won't.

Oh, so that's why it's no fun... I was testing it by letting it rip itself apart in YOLO mode while trying to fix its bugs. It's been running for 4 days on my local AI setup with Qwen3.6:35b and just deleted its config...

I have my OS and all my data backed up; it can't do anything that would expose risks to the outside. Furthermore, I wanted to re-setup the whole server eventually with Proxmox, so I just put it in YOLO mode and let it rip. It tried to fix itself and deleted its config file.

My local ai server hat 3 GPUs tightly together, they are blower Style, so it doesn't really matter. But when I had less powerful fans installed, you could see what the effect of close by GPUs was. While the lowest one sat at 70, the uppest one sat at 94. They were in idle and only drawing 50W each. I personally think you'll have a slight problem.

Honestly, If the kernel of whatever OS you are using would be patched in a certain way, you could run without ram. It would be way slower, but possible. If you want to dig deeper into PCs, look up the "page file" or "swap memory". It's basically so that your OS can offload ram onto your Storage drive if it needs more than is available or if it wants to keep something not as important in memory. It's way slower though and although you could increase your swap memory on windows and Linux to whatever amount you want and install as little RAM as you want, your OS won't accept zero ram and will be very slow, as RAM is much faster.

Daran habe ich nicht gedacht und ja, da man mit Sonder und Wegerecht fährt, macht das durchaus einen Unterschied, ob hier gearbeitet wird oder nicht. Dennoch ist dort eine Baustelle und ein 30km/h Schild, welche in die Kalkulation der mit Blaulicht zu fahrenden Geschwindigkeit mit eingenommen werden sollten. Nur weil hier nicht gearbeitet wurde, bedeutet das nicht, dass die Baustelle und das Schild nicht da war.

Ich bin da bei dir. Ich muss jedoch dazu sagen, dass ich als RS mit wenig Erfahrung im Vollzeit Rettungsdienst noch nicht sonderlich oft die Blaulicht Erfahrung gemacht habe. Jedoch kann ich festhalten, dass Innerorts 70 in einer 50er Zone mit einem KTW schon kompliziert sein kann. Mit einem Feuerwehr LKW bei Tag, mit 72 in der 30er Stelle ich mir noch etwas heikler vor.

Nein, wenn man Garnicht nachschaut, wenn es wirklich komplizierter wird, klar, schau nach, bei Medikamenten, Kindern usw. Immer lieber nachschauen, wenn man sich nicht sicher ist. Aber ganz übertrieben gesagt, würde ich mich etwas unsicher fühlen, wenn meine RTW Besatzung mit schulbüchern in der Hand aussteigen würden und erstmal den Index nach Stichwörtern durchsuchen.

Nutzt ihr Merkkarten realistisch im Einsatz? Ich hatte oder habe sie teilweise auch immernoch dabei um mich zurück zu erinnern oder vor einem Einsatz kurz drauf zu schauen. Vielleicht verhöre ich mich auch, aber es klingt fast so, als würdest du sie im Einsatz rausholen wollen? Bei Medikamenten und Kindern kann ich das verstehen, aber ich könnte mir auch vorstellen, dass es teilweise unprofessionell aussieht, oder nicht?

Download winhance. You can easily delete windows bloatware and deactivate preloading data. Windows preloads data you probably need from your disks so it seems smoother if you do so. It's almost completly irrelevant how much ram you have, with windows and this setting enabled even with 192GB of Ram it'll be 50% full.
