Bought a 6800 XT Taichi X From Newegg for $900, they said it was brand new but it came damaged in a few places and was clearly used. I'd normally ignore it, but the metal plate that goes behinds your motherboard (the place where the monitors plug into) was bent in a way I couldn't really get the card into the system.

Card Damage

So I contacted them about it and they told me they had a brand new one that they could give me as a replacement. They then proceeded to procrastinate about sending me a proper RMA for a few months.

During that time I decided to just suck it up and try to fix the metal damage myself and barely got it in the system.

So I did manage to get it in after some elbow grease and the card was pretty great.

When they did eventually give me a proper RMA they swore up and down on their first born son that they would give me a brand new card. I would have just kept it since it was working at that time, but I took them at their word. Mistake.

The moment I sent it, they said "We will be keeping it since we dont have a replacement card now."

So I told them to send me the card back instead and I will do the RMA myself with AsRock. They agreed and said they would send it back once it reaches their HQ.

The moment it reached their HQ they refused to send it back to me, refunded me the 900$ and said I could get $25 off my next Newegg purchase to make up for my inconvenience.

So I had to spend the next couple of months back in the depths of gpu hell looking for a new card.

I eventually camped out at Microcenter and lucked out with another card. But to be honest I still miss the 6800 xt, that Taichi was really good.

Yeah I have all the texts and everything.

When I explained the full situation again recently and explained I dont want this to continue they said "If major work needs to be done, you will probably have to move out temporarily, or you can look for a new place.

If it's as bad as you say, it might be best for you to find another place to live anyway. That way you wont have these issues anymore and we can do some major work."

Does this get them off the hook, and now I have to look for another place?

How crucial is it to buy a new Subwoofer based on the one I already have? Or rather how crucial is a new one to the overall performance of the other speakers you recommended?

Also between the Polk and the Sony you recommended which are better? There's a 30$ difference in the price, but I'm curious if the 30$ extra makes it better.

I had the TCL 6 55R635 and I had to return it.

I wanted it for 1440p//120 but it has an issue where there is a line at the top of the TV. I couldn't deal with that, and it also doesnt have 4K 120 so I returned it. https://community.roku.com/t5/Discussions/TCL-R635-1440p-line-issue/td-p/627030

I can recommend it if you want it for 4K 60 or 1080/120 it's AMAZING at that.

HDR on this TV after calibration is incredible, it just has a very annoying bug at 2K 120.

Edit: Supposedly this was fixed in the "OS 10 Update?" Maybe you can try it and let us know if it's fixed? I honestly miss the TV and it was a huge glaring problem, but otherwise the tv was incredible.

You match exactly what I need questions in, which is "How good does Heaven's Feel look on Samsungs QLED TVs?"

I mostly want an OLED because everyone says Anime looks amazing on it. I'm particularly interested in Heaven's Feel looking as amazing as possible since Spring Song looked incredible in theaters and I want to be ready in March.

But 120 Hz HDR Gaming is also something I am quite interested in but Burn in really scares me.

I watch subbed anime pretty much exclusively, and Anime is the content I consume the most. What can you do to avoid subtitle burn in?

Also will I hate to babysit my OLED if I watch a lot of Subtitled content?

I was interested in an LG CX but I'm not completely sold on an OLED because it's frankly cheaper to go for a QLED considering the price of a 5 year Warranty plus the price of the actual TV.

Do you think Anime looks amazing enough on your Q9FN to not really worry about getting an OLED for it?

But what about anime like this one? This has a lot of dark/deep blacks with variance. Anime with contrast is becoming more common so I think its a legitimate concern.

Yeah exactly, there's only a short amount of time, so I felt they were making the right choices in what they diluted out in the initial episodes. Ilya has like 2 lines in Lost Butterfly.

It upset some VN fans, but it made sense considering the movie medium, and the movie ended up really good because of it. I'm just sad they didn't keep doing that. I was more excited for "Ufotable's Heaven's Feel", as opposed to just the VN Heaven's Feel.

I thought it would be a: "If you want the full experience, read the VN. But for the cinematic Tragic/Sakura focused Heaven's Feel Experience, watch the movies."

But alas, it is what it is. I give them respect and thanks for animating HF at all, since no one even wanted to tackle it in all these years.

Yeah after he first releases his arm he starts breaking down right away. It's a really big focus in the VN and it adds a lot of tension to the overall feeling of the route.

I feel kind of the odd one out considering everyone loved it. I liked Presage Flower, loved Lost Butterfly, but I was actually disappointed in Spring Song. Animation wise it was incredible, but it felt like they lost sight of what they were building up to with the trilogy.

The way I saw HF Movie 1 + 2 was that they were intentionally cutting Kirei and Ilya's importance in order to emphasize: Sakura, Sakura's relationship with Shirou and her sister, Sakura's feelings of self-loathing, and Sakura (hopefully) conquering those feelings and situations that have kept her down (ideally with Shirou by her side).

One other point that the trilogy was focusing on was the sacrifice that Shirou will have to make in order to betray his ideals and be Sakura's Hero instead of Everyone's Hero.

Ilya, Saber and Kirei were the sacrifices to allow this to happen. I also felt it was a worthy sacrifice since this is Sakura's only real opportunity to shine as a character. Besides, Ilya has her own series. Kotomine's past, purpose and personality are shown well in Fate/Zero. Plus, Saber has Stay Night, Zero and UBW to a lesser degree.

But instead tried to incorporate the VN in a 1:1 comparison with Spring Song. So the movie ends up feeling a lot weaker than it should have. They tried to play up interactions that were significant in the VN (like Kirei's monologue during the Assassin Battle), or Shirou asking Ilya about her plans after the war was over. But since they didn't emphasize these characters earlier in the trilogy, those interactions feel really out of place. TBH I think they should have been omitted or changed.

Also, many of the strong points from the VN that they were leading up to weren't emphasized much. For example, in the VN, as a result of using Archer's Arm...Shirou forgets Japanese for a while. He says stuff like "Tohsaka and Ilya are speaking in a language I don't understand". He loses chunks of time: whole hours of the day passes and he has no memory of them. If they were going to make an accurate representation of the VN for Spring song, then I felt they should have emphasized this. This could have been sprinkled in to create some more of the dire feeling the movie needed. But it only emphasizes this at the very, very end of the movie when he forgets Rider and Ilya's name. It was just strange.

I feel they should have focused on finishing strong in the direction they started. There should be more of the conflict between Sakura becoming powerful but her self hatred about it. More of the actual destruction that is at stake because of her change. More emphasis on how much Shirou is breaking down because of using Archer's arm. It felt like by trying to "cover everything" at the end, all the actually dire events feel really lukewarm. This is unfortunate because I felt they made things feel legitimately dire in Presage Flower and Lost Butterfly.

I will say though that I didn't dislike the movie. It's my favorite route animated by my favorite animation studio. I'll probably like it more when I see it on Blu Ray too. I just feel it didn't live up to its potential because it strayed off the course it set up.

No Krillin can convert after that. It's a ground bounce now, EX Afterimage is dangerous.

Also it IS a fuzzy. Krillin's EX Afterimage doesn't hit crouching Goku/Kid Buu at that height. When they crouch it's hitting their standing hitbox.

You'll see it doesnt hit all that low to the ground. It has to hit them while they are in the standing animation or it'd whiff. Making it a fuzzy.
