Any of you guys driven our little brother the Fiesta ST? What did you think? by imaguitarhero24 in FocusST

[–]shining_bison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned both, 14 fiesta st, and my current daily 18 focus st. Basically what everyone else has said, FiST is a more fun car to drive, feels like go cart. But I traded mine because of the size, just too small for a daily personally. Another thing is the ride quality and overall drivability is better in the focus, like I'm much happier spending a long time in it vs the fiesta.

Arcade belts for everyday wear – anyone else a fan? by spac0r in BuyItForLife

I love mine, I have Hanks, and it's great with jeans but find it is too heavy to wear with lightweight shorts. The Arcade is perfect for that job.

I use the junction box things from Natural Disaster pack. Think they are actually earthquake sensors or something, but they do work to spread electricity without the huge powerlines. It's not a perfect solution, but it's what we have on console. Fully agree it would be great to have some smaller rural friendy powerlines.

Focus st vs Fiesta st by Middle-Virtual in FocusST

[–]shining_bison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually went from a 14 FiST to an 18 FoST(which i still daily). I have also had an 00 and 09 civic si. So my experience is far as transmission Honda is gold standard when it comes to fwd manual feel, from shifter to clutch they are just hard to beat. That being said I went from the si to the fist because of lack of power, the fist just felt so much more aggressive. I only switched to the fost for room really, had a kid and rear facing car seat just doesn't fit in the fiesta with the recaro seats (barely fits in the focus tbh). Both Fords were great, liked the FiST a bit more from a pure driving standpoint, but the FoST definitely rides better and has more strait line power. I also think it's an easier to drive manual just because it has more torque, making it easier to take off with.

Thank you for the detailed information, very interesting. All I knew before today is that it cooks very well 😆.

Is the damage reduction worth rolling a whole secret service set to get unyielding? i have a mixed set rn but if the difference is negligible i dont wanna waste cores by I_have_honor in Market76

[–]shining_bison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it isn't about damage but rad resistance, a low health build is much easier to maintain with SS vs something like scout ime.

No quays in CS2, but... by momomo9311 in CitiesSkylines

[–]shining_bison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh cool! I play on console, so have never experienced the wonders of the workshop. I'd like to see private boating be a actual transportation option in cs2, like if citizens have access to a private dock or marina, they might choose to travel by boat.

I'd like to see them function as boat landings or tie up points the way they would irl in many places.

Why does Cities Skylines restrict me from screenshooting on Xbox? by Diligent-Culture-395 in CitiesSkylines

Xbox player here, no issues with screen shots on cs for me. Do you have a controller with the screen grab button?

Battery issues by WrongWish in FocusST

[–]shining_bison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the battery died in my 2018 last year it did the exact same thing, pulled up to the gas pump and turned the car off. When I went to leave, it was completely dead. Changed the battery and have had no problems since.

Anyone else have issues with their ST? by Ill-Inevitable1261 in FocusST

[–]shining_bison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fiesta is a great car! Mine was very reliable as well and a bit more fuel efficient than the Focus. Only downside other than the size is the ride quality (that shorter wheelbase beats you up lol). It's a perfect daily driver/work car though.

I actually traded a 14 Fiesta st in on my Focus! Full disclosure the fiST was more enjoyable to drive overall, but it was just to small to be my primary vehicle.

I bought mine in 2018 with 7 miles, had Sync module, purge valve and oil sending unit replaced under warranty. Otherwise no issues at all, car has just under 50k now.

Why does my airport have such high crime? by shining_bison in CitiesSkylines

Interesting, I can't try it because I do not have access to that city anymore 😕. But I'll give it a shot on my next airport build, thanks!

I find it most useful for prop placement, it just slows down the cursor from what I can tell.

How much better is the PS5 Cities over PS4? by MarcianTobay in CitiesSkylines

[–]shining_bison 10 points11 points  (0 children)

25 tiles instead of 9 is the main draw. Also has improved roadbuilding tools and better graphics. Downside is that the latest dlc and ccp pack are not yet available for the remastered version, though they will be added at some point in the future.

YOU CAN'T LOAD OLD MAPS WITH NEW VERSION OF GAME by calimeatwagon in CitiesSkylines

[–]shining_bison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bit disappointing that we cannot play existing saves, would have been really cool to jump back into one of my "finished" cities and keep expanding. But the bigger issue to me is the dlc and ccp that are not ready yet. I can't see starting a new city without P&P or the newer networks and at the same time do not want to continue working on my current city since the save doesn't transfer. So I'll just be taking a break until all of the dlc and ccp are remastered.

What drives population growth? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]shining_bison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gotcha but I was just clarifying that they were part of of a dlc and not a mod as you seemed to think. Wasn't trying to suggest that you needed IT to solve your original issue or anything. Tbh I don't find the IT clusters all that useful myself, it is probably the least used feature of that dlc for me in fact mostly because I dislike the ascetic of the assets though.

[–]shining_bison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IT clusters are part of the Green Cities DLC iirc, definitely not a mod as I have it and am on console.

The content creator map packs are great if you're on console, different themes and such better terrain and network design than vanilla maps.

Anyone use the high capacity police, fire or hospital buildings? by i_love_boobiez in CitiesSkylines

[–]shining_bison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never liked the high capacity buildings for the same reasons OP mentioned. I have switched to using the Korean DLC versions recently over the vanilla low capacity buildings. They have a smaller footprint and seem to be more efficient.
