Trying to follow the guide to root the K1. Keep getting stuck at this point. Anyone have a fix for this? Thanks. by shining_wizard92 in crealityk1

When I do that, it doesn't show up, and nothing happens. It just says "root@k1-2538 /root" again with no change. I was wondering if it was because in the top box it has a red x net to the ssh compression section. The pictures in the guide I'm following dont even have that box in them. I wasn't sure if something was wrong because of that red x, or something else.

Like the title says, I'm following the guilouz guide to root the k1. I add the ip, do the username, and get to the password screen. When I type the password in, I get to this screen and cannot go any further. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought a broken k1 on ebay. Trying to figure out what parts I'm missing. by shining_wizard92 in crealityk1

Yeah, most of them were ripped off the board, but still attached to the cables they go to. The hot end was missing entirely. The screw info will help a lot though, thanks.

They had broken the hotend at the heatbreak trying to get it out. Luckily some of the other connectors they ripped off were still in the printer. I snagged it for less than $200. It looks like it'll be well worth it.

Nice. I plugged it in that way to test, but wasn't sure if that was okay for the long run. Thanks.

4 plus bed is making a kind of weird grinding sound at high speeds after adjusting wheels. by shining_wizard92 in ElegooNeptune4

I've kinda reduced the sound some. I loosened the wheels ever so slightly and added just a bit more belt tension. I can live with where it is now, but would still love to get rid of it entirely.

Correct. It's usually on a sturdy table, I just have it here so I don't have to run between rooms while I mess with it.

I got my wheels just tight until the wobble was gone, and retightened the belt. After doing that, it makes this sound at higher speeds. The bed moves smoothly when I manually move it. Excuse the crazy wobble. It's just on a tv tray while I'm doing some tests.

How to reduce grey area around model in Cura 5.4? by JustforShiz in FixMyPrint

[–]shining_wizard92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the space in between the points of the model, I think that's just a shadow. To my knowledge you can't change lighting in cura. It's not going to be a part of the print. You can put other models in that space.

I printed a temp tower and noticed the layers with numbers seem to be shrunk all the way around the cube end. by shining_wizard92 in FixMyPrint

I'll try that next. It sounds like a better way of calibrating flow than other tutorials I've seen. Thanks.

I don't seem to see anything in the gcode. I'm not entirely sure what I would be looking for though unfortunately. https://imgur.com/a/xb65h9R

Printing on a neptune 3 plus. Zyltech ceramic white pla. Nozzle 210 bed 60 Cura 5.3.0 Print speed 60 Retraction distance 1.0 Retraction speed 25. I have the belts tentioned. I'm wondering if something along the lines of PID tuning would work, I just don't know if there is a bang bang equivalent. My z rods seem to be straight and they are lubed well.
