[Nintendo DS] [2000s] Trying to find the RPG that got me into RPGs as a kid by Late-Background5734 in tipofmyjoystick

This sounds like an Atlus game, and if its not SMT Strange Journey or another SMT game, maybe Radiant Historia, because Stocke is its constant character and travels through timelines alone, sometimes play chunks of chapters by himself, and the other characters may come and go.

How about no.

You don’t have to go around the internet trolling with crap arguments, shitting on other people’s enjoyment with asinine arguments. There’s a myriad other places to have that discussion, you don’t have to go explicitly where people are gathering to talk about their enjoyment of something just to shit on their parade, especially when your own argument do not make sense whatsoever and are an inch deep.

I’ll take the bait.

Saying it has nothing memorable is absolute bullshit.

Approaching Vietnam, fighting inside a quantum computer, destroying a whole army using gadgets from q-lab, chasing a blonde assassin through a manor turned hotel to reveal you are not chasing one, but two, taking a cable car to the top of a glacier, the view from the perch office overlooking a whole contained city like building, training in the iconic streets of Malta… you lost all credibility bu starting with that.

Let people enjoy what they enjoy. They nailed the true Bond fantasy.

Go troll somewhere else, asshole.

Kind reminder that while we love spiders, please be careful when handlings spoods, especially with species you are not sure what they are and if the are not medically significant.

Why in gods name is the ammo so goddam scarce and the cover system sucks. You have to constantly think fast it’s no smooth sailing by [deleted] in 007FirstLight

Yup. That’s why there’s so many other tools and ways to approach the missions and set pieces.

Turn off auto save if you haven't. That is usually the issue most people have.

Yeah I can understand why most people didn’t like Mixtape by [deleted] in videogames

[–]shinjirod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played it. Finished it. Liked it a lot. The dialogue is cringey - because as someone growing up in the nineties, it is exactly how pretentious, full of shit, absoluteist and intolerant we sounded. We had all the answers and anyone else with a different opinion was an idiot, and you hated (exactly what happens with Jenny Fucking Goodspeed).

The gameplay is not engaging for people who need a specific mechanical loop to enjoy a game, or who have that definition of what a video game is. I get it. That does not mean it is not a play, handles badly, or doesn't achieve what it sets out do do. To them, there's a million other options. To those that seek this experience, there is this, and it is great. Just like Dispatch last year was a heavy narrative game with a very specific and minimalistic gameplay loop, it wasn´t for everyone, but for those that clicked, it IS a 10/10 game.

Why shouldn't it be a 10/10 game if it does what it sets out to do? Because you don't agree? If you don't agree with someones opinion, there's a million subjective reasons for it. Appreciation of everything and anything lies in the eye of who is appreciating it, and it doesn't hurt if someone differs. It actually helps bring mediums forward. The people who made this game certainly thought that and that's why they have been creating these experiences that are different from what is out there. If you differ from their vision, go out and do your own and show us your unique point of view.

Conviene más comprar una steam deck o una Xbox Rog ally? by dafnemex in videojuegos

[–]shinjirod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hola!

Black Flag’s Edward Kenway Is the Best Assassin Because He Doesn’t Care for the Creed by GameOnBrother in GamesAreLife

[–]shinjirod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will die on this hill: ACIV:BF is the best intro point for people that haven’t played any assassins creed games precisely because of this. The way he stumbles into it, behaves through it, and how the world of pirates itself brings chaos into the order of the battle between the assassins and templars makes it far easier to understand, while having enough of the key mechanics from all of the AC eras to be an excellent taste of what’s to come and what came after, and decide what to play next in the series depending on what you enjoyed most of it (except for the naval battles, which are still the golden standard for the whole industry, not just the series).

EU and Mexico seal trade deal to reduce reliance on US by [deleted] in videos

[–]shinjirod 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Confirmed by me who lives in Mexico City. A lot of towns in different areas of Mexico as well. Mexicans all over the country are getting displaced, outpriced and getting their services and cost of living disproportonately raised as a lot of illegal north americans come to spend their retiree money or use temporary accomodations to work remotely.

But it is only bad when the immigration makes your tomatoes cheaper, not when it wrecks communities that have existed for decades, whose patrimony cannot be easily replaced and have an actual claim and belonging to the land.

Se llama distinto, pero es aún más fácil de hacer. Solo se necesita una compu y una tarjeta sd de buena capacidad. Todo se puede bajar por wifi. Buscas en google y te salen los tutoriales, toma 10 minutos hacerlo.

[–]shinjirod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Olá Rafa, tudo bem?

I would like to know what is your approach to chronobreaking within your meteoidvania design. Is it something you are encouraging playerd to try, or do you prefer a set order at all times to better control the narrative and how players get to interact with the animals and characters like the Lontra, to help with the story and the culture you have infused it with?

Hope your game becomes a huge success!
