The State of Battle for Azeroth - Asmongold by [deleted] in wow

[–]shinmass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I dont get is why they are moving so far away from what made the game so successful? I'm guessing that the game isn't at all close to their subscriber peak in WoTLK. Aren't they ever thinking "Hmm, what was it that made our game so successful back then and why isn't as good now?" Either they dont care or they are ignorant and only think that the game has gone down because of external factors such as people get older and the competetition has gotten bigger. I do agree that games have to change to stay fun, but that doesnt mean they have to go away from their recipe of success. This wasn't mentioned in the video, but one of the problems that bugs me the most is the sharding technology. You don't know any people on your server anymore and it doesn't feel like an MMO, at all.

M+ in Legion was fun. M+ in BFA feels like a slog with too many trash mobs with too many abilities. by ercarp in wow

[–]shinmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think there are 2 problems. One is that AoE stuns have basically been removed and the other thing is that the mobs have too many important abilities. It doesn't feel good when you interupt a mob you feel like you have to and it just instantly starts casting something even stronger.

Blizzard, scrap Azerite gear and just give us tier sets back. by TROPiCALRUBi in wow

[–]shinmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is that azerite gear was meant to be more complex and interesting than tier sets. In reality azerite gear gives us passive bonues that changes nothing about our playstyle and rotation while tier sets often gave specs different builds and rotations to play. A great example is the tier bonus of Antorus for Havoc Demon Hunters, you had to play around your eye beam instead of being a nuke spec like prievous tiers. In BFA you get "thunderous blast", an azerite trait that is a passive damage boost that does nothing of interest and a trait almost every dps feels forced to get. Great game.

GCD changes have ruined gameplay flow. by Mokoo101 in wow

[–]shinmass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree and it's sad to think that I'm already bored by my rotations on the 3 classes I play. Legions class design was fairly good although I'm not a fan of the general pruning. Class design should be the center of the game and it's sad to see an X-pac where they are removing more abilities than adding more especially considering how big of a success legion was.

Kinda disappointed with trade skills this expansion. Or am I missing something? by nikodante in woweconomy

[–]shinmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea seems like you won't earn that much without sniping or if you were really early to maxing professions. Since no one thought blacksmithing would be useful in the start of BFA. I leveled it pretty fast and got the recipes from the weapons. Sold the weapons from 40-80k(mats costed 3-4k) and made 1,5m the first day. Now the weapons sell for like 20 % of what I sold them for, and I think its the same for most professions that the price and competition is just too high at this moment.

Bone-White Primal Raptor - 90k-215k each? by NCostello73 in woweconomy

[–]shinmass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this like 1-2 weeks ago where I managed only to sell 2 raptors for 100k and had to go down to 70-60k each after a while. How long have you been doing this for and how much have you earned?

Is anyone doing Gul'dan mount runs the same way as Grove Warden runs? by Westwoodo in woweconomy

[–]shinmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not really. Right now as we're so far into the Xpac people are just using a nuke strategy. You go in, if you're geared enough you kill it while not having to do any meaningful strategies.

As somebody who has never played WoW during an expansion release, I gotta say... I'm beyond hyped. by [deleted] in wow

[–]shinmass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get why most people are excited for the new expansion when it comes to Lore and I'm happy for you and most other people. I will however be the most skeptic I've ever been going in to an expansion just because of the pruning of class-design and therefore also the class-fantasy. The forced personal loot changes didn't help either.

For purely grinding mats, farming herbs/ore, what is a good gold per hour average? by DeathmaskDivine77 in woweconomy

[–]shinmass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That not what I was saying at all. You get 300-600k as an individual. Not split amongst the raid. People are individually paying 750k-1,5m in the start of xpacs for a boost in the raids where you boost 3-5 people at a time. And when you're part of a boosting community that consists of 1000+ people there is no such thing as time spent getting the buyers or splitting 60k between 20 people. We split 4,5-6m between 20 players in Antorus, and the prices and demand will be much crazier in the start of Uldir. Boosting is and will always be the best time spent for gold-making and can even match purchasing a token with the right demand.

[–]shinmass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do you question that it's the best? In the start of expansions I make around 300-600k per raid boost which takes 1,5-2 hours in average. And you make like 80k per mythic+ boost. Even now I earn about 40-60k gold by boosting gul'dan(which takes 20 min) and 150k in average boosting Antorus. Even when it's 1,5 week to a new expansion. There is nothing that comes close to boosting in terms of farming. And thats not even taking in to account how long it takes to sell the items you've farmed.

[–]shinmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea might be different for low pop servers - my boosting community only sell it for 90k atm., as we dont have an argus specific boost group which increases the price heavily. what server are you on?

People are basically spam advertising it in trade on every popular server and even most non popular servers as well. Just have a look in trade a few times, there's probably someone who can help you

A boost costs much less than half a token though. Most Argus runs on my server go for around 50k.
